34-31. Well the flag football team gets the W over the cowardly frogs. If they play Miami, it's a four touchdown differential, if they play us, it's at least a two TD difference.... 03-wink

Fred,
I think we've discussed this already. Look at things from TCU's perspective. It's all about $. They had a chance to play at home for the SAME payout as the GMAC bowl. Which game would you play in? The one where you have to pay to travel the team or the one that will cost you next to nothing. The return on the $750K was FAR greater for them to play at home.

Now look at their opponents in both games. Both Miami OH and Boise St are top mid-major programs. A win against either would have put them at the top of the mid-major list. Problem is that it backfired and they lost. True, Miami would have beaten them by more, but TCU cleared more money by playing at home than they would have in Mobile. Plus there's the goodwill aspect for their potential move to the Mountain West or WAC (can't remember which one). In my eyes, this was a no brainer for TCU, it just blew up in their face.
