At least we ran some offense and didn't spend all night passing the ball around the perimeter and shooting a lot of 3's.The pressue defense worked well most of the time
Wow, Peterson took it to the hoop?! That's a VERY good sign! :)
As to the pressure defense, were we running a full court press? I think Field Turf was onto something in the other thread in suggesting we try to give other teams "40 minutes of hell" , using our depth to try and wear team's down.
We're probably not going to win the MAC this year with the talent we have, but it'd be nice to be a factor, at least playing spoiler while also establishing the convo center as a tough place to play (6-0! Ok, we've played a lot of shlubs, but don't look a gift horse in the mouth, right?). Pressure defense and an uptempo pace is definitely a good start.
Furthermore, I think picking up the tempo may actually help REDUCE our turnovers. If we start being aggressive, taking the ball to the hole quickly, it'll reduce the amount of time we' re holding the ball, decreasing the likelihood someone will mess up and give the ball away.
On another note, too bad about Paradise. I think the kid has potential, it's really unfortunate his development will be set back a year. :(
Lets go Huskies!! Beat the Cats, and get us back to .500.
