<a href='http://www3.niu.edu/athletics/mbball/agate03-04/atOhioNotes.htm' target='_blank'>Northern Illinois vs. Ohio, 1pm Saturday</a>
Ohio is the perfect place for us to get healthy on the road. We need big games from Peterson and Hughes, and we need PJ to stay on a tear!!
Cmon Huskies, beat them Bobcats!! :chair: :chair: :chair: :chair:
(Kind of appropriate how it's a little red guy giving a chair shot to a green guy.. )

Tough game to take there Fred, I'm pretty upset about it. That loss really bothers more than any game in a long time. Thanks for pointing me to this board it is setup better than the ESPN board, I wonder why they closed that other web site that alot of pepole were on.

Nick, the guy who ran the other board, is the same person running the Insiders board. He moved it because of several reasons, there was a problem with the board not allowing him to edit/delete objectionable posts and to be able to put his personally written articles on it(which the other wouldn't allow him to do from a "physical" standpoint, not that they said he couldn't). I really don't know if he has even bothered lately because many just badmouth his efforts to help keep the NIU fanatics fanbase in one place and on a good board. I for one appreciate all of Nicks hard work in getting us all together to talk about a passion we all have: NIU. Would I like a few more stories like he wanted to do? Sure. But it has to be remembered that he does have a job to do outside his running the board(writing for a local newspaper, so he can get stories that nobody else can, it is just a matter of him having time) . When he signed on to Insiders, he had no way of knowing that many couldn't get to that board from work. The reason I have an account here is because of the overall MAC board but since everyone is coming over here, I obviously now read this area as well. But for NIU talk, I would prefer to post on his board because he IS a dedicated Huskie fan. If you don't like the layout, see if it can be changed again so people will use it.
As for the game, don't get me started. I listened to the whole thing and we are still just doing the same thing over and over and over with no apparent improvement. When are we going to shake things up and try something new? The first half of the EMU was a start but we went back to our old ways against Ohio and we got our @sses kicked. When is Judson going to learn?

I encouraged people to come to this board because several posters from the old teamyates such as Lukulos and Field Turf were unable to use the insiders board.
Frankly, I prefer this board because theres more hoops talk than on the Insiders board, plus I like the overall MAC board. It enables me to come to one site for all my sports info.

Agreed. This loss is even worse than the BYU-Hilo debacle, as it's against a pitiful conference foe.
I was somewhat encouraged by the EMU game, but now I'm convinced this season is over. If Ohio can beat us by 21 points, we'll be lucky to finish with more than 11 or 12 wins, and it's doubtful we'll even be able to give the top teams in the MAC a game.
Furthermore, it's probably going to be one game and good bye for us at the Gund. It's really too bad for Marcus and PJ, but it certainly looks like they're senior years will be a waste.
Hopefully we'll see some development of our young players which will give us something to cheer about the remainder of this lost season...

You bet, man! It's nice to have all of our hardcore fans in one place for a change!

Robert,
As for the Insiders board, we (at my office) mentioned to Nick numerous times that we would not be able to move over to that board. As soon as it became active, we were firewalled. It appears that our group had more influence over the posting than he thought. There's nothing we can do. We're staying here. I also know that there are a few older posters (Media Mogul, Huskie Hal, & Greenbrier####) that are reading this board daily, but have not signed up as of yet.
So if you are looking for some quality NIU discussion, I would turn to this board.
