I'm taking my anti Bush pic down for 24 hours. I invite others to take down their political stuff, too.

If I see anything pro Bush crap or anti Democratic crap in here after that, I will respond.

I don't usually have anything political in my sig.....but if I did.....and somebody didn't agree with my particular stance......tough!

An avatar or sig is a representation of who you are and what you're about.

If you see a sig or avatar with political stuff....and you disagree.....then create your sig or avatar supporting what you believe in.

What is this world coming to? Now we literally have "political correctness".......by avoiding politics all together?

Here's another thing to think about..........what sports are there right now that any MAC team is playing that people are really hyped about??? I can't think of anything.........so politics is something that people are obviously interested in.

If you don't like politics.........then once you realize a thread is about politics.......don't read it!!! It's freedom of choice.....and nobody is forcing you to read it!!

Now...time for some hijacking....heh, heh, heh.

If everyone in this country voted........do you really think our current politicians would be "a bunch of liars"? If you dislike the way the country is run..........then do something about it. Sitting back and complaining doesn't change a thing.............vote...........that is the only way to effect change........and that include the reason why this thread was started.

I do vote...religiously..without fail. However I do understand the frustration some feel that their one vote is not enough. I think a way to look at it though is that your one vote may represent 5 Americans in a 20% voter turnout. It will alway represent at least 2 Americans as I don't know if we've ever had better than 50% voter turnout. Voting sort of becomes like backing your favorite team and you win some, you lose some....the ramifications are definitely more serious though. If I could suffer 8 years of CLinton for the libs happiness, they should be happy to return the favor :)

You're right, 20% of the country is running the other 80%. Doesn't sound fair....does it?

It's a darned shame that the majority of this country is not educated on what is going on around them........... :(

Oh...one more thing. The internet is truly a symbol of freedom. It's where we can say what we truly believe and share those beliefs with others. America is great because we can actually publicly say that we don't agree with, whether a particular policy or political party or what football team is better.......etc.

If we all are behaving like intelligent adults.........then I don't believe we are doing anything that is wrong.
