I thought it a rather myopic statement, and even though I think they meant that they were the only ones to be only orange, I wrote them a love note. Here it is plus their response.

According to the National Directory of College Athletics published by
the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, SU is the
only Division I institution in the country to have orange as its sole
official color. *Bowling Green lists brown and orange. Florida lists
orange and blue. Tennessee lists orange and white. Texas lists burnt
orange and white. Clemson lists orange and purple. Oklahoma State lists orange and black.
