What should UAB think of Callaway?
Everyone in UAB country is pitching a fit over Callaway. What is wrong with him and will be have any chance of leading a winning football program?

I hate to speak ill of the man as his sons both play for Valdosta State, but I don't expect much from him at UAB. The circumstances around his hiring have poisoned the water enough at UAB that unless he comes out of the gate winning he won't get much support. Furthermore, he was OC in name only at UGA. He wasn't the primary play caller. His main responsibility was the OL, which always seemed to underachieve. I don't see where his resume lead anyone to believe that he was a prime HC candidate especially compared with other prospects for the job.

RE: What should UAB think of Callaway?
Well, heres what another BlazrDawg has to say ( Im a UAB Blazer fan who also supports UGA). Neil has done a great job so far at UAB. He has instilled a program of discipline and class for his players and staff. The transformation of UAB's football program has been impressive,,, players are in great shape,, they hustle the whole game, and they play with class. The outcome of this first season, in which NC is working with a very limited and inexperienced group of guys, may not be impressive but the supporters of UAB as a whole will be pleased with the improvements in other important aspects of the program.
