Matt Rositano, a senior from Bowling Green, dressed with five of his friends as green army men toys. Rositano said he had his fake bazooka confiscated by police. The bazooka was made of cardboard, tape and was spray-painted green.

"We all had poses, but we can't do the poses because we don't have the guns," he said. "Now we are just pissed-off green guys."

Despite the occasional setback, most seemed to enjoy another Halloween celebration in Athens.

As Bowling Green sophomore Ashley Jenkins said, "OU rocks Halloween!"

Maybe OU should play their home games on Halloween in the street of Athens.

I've wondered the same thing myself. A annual Halloween game in Athens nationally televised. The biggest football event since the creation of the Super Bowl.

I'm not sure they're being delusional. My youngest son ended up NOT going to Athens, but a LARGE number of his friends went. These are young men in their 20s, and they only went for one reason: to party. Perhaps a big halloween matchup and some kind of promo tie-in would work there.

i agree. its not like they can get people in their stadiums for any other games. a holloween game would be a sweet idea for OU.

I must say, with our LACK of success over the last four years, our attendance has held up quite well.

If we can get a winner in Athens next year, we can return to the packed houses of the late 90s.
