Just heard that Byron Leftwich will miss 4-6 weeks with a bad knee.

The best thing about Leftwich is also his worst trait: He is fearless in the pocket and doesn't protect himself very well. He takes more brutal hits then any other QB in the NFL because he refuses to throw the ball away and instead takes massive punishment.

He is also maybe to tough for his own good. We all know the Akron story but in the game vs the Texans last week he tore his MCL before half time and re-entered himself into the game after 2 plays.

Jacksonville has a bye this week. I would fully expect Leftwich to be on the field for their next game vs Detriot. Garrard is an OK back up but that team now evolves around Leftwich.
