Congratulations Toledo and Bowling Green. You both played magnificently and both deserved to win. Tonight we had no losers. The MAC West won big in front of a magnificent audience playing tremendous football on ESPN2 for the whole nation to see.
This is surely one of the greatest moment in MAC history! Omar Jacobs and Bruce Gradkowski were magnificent. How lucky is the MAC west to have two of the best 10 QB’s in DIV1A College football. Not to mention RB like Garrett Wolfe (NIU) and Scooter. Lat year both NIU and Toledo were Bowl deserving teams. This year both Bowling Green and NIU also deserve a Bowl game. Hopefully the MAC will get more respect nationally and have more Bowl tie-ins. In addition to Bowling Green and NIU, Miami and Akron are also Bowl worthy teams. It would be truly incredible if the MAC gets 5 slots this year. Tonight was great. Hopefully the MAC final will be just as good.
