Toledo must be judged as a team on its performance in all 11 of its games!
Toledo outplayed both NIU and BG in two games, but what about the first two games?
As a MAC representative, Toledo will need to redeem itself in its next two games.
Clearly non of the three top MAC west team should have lost to teams like Kansas (4-7) and Minnesota. (record 5-5 against division 1a teams) by 42 points and 49 points.
Gradkowski could only muster 3 and 2 touchdowns respectively against two mediocre defenses at best.
Look at these records against teams which did not distinguish themselves during 2004.

I hope to see Toledo win convincingly against both Miami and especially the chosen non-conference team before bragging rights are in order. A great team plays consistently and does not get blown out by teams with 4 and 5 (Div 1a)wins respectively.
Both BG and NIU can claim to be amongst the top three teams in the MAC West. All three teams have a responsibility to carry the MAC West name high and perform well against non-conference teams.
Neither BG nor NIU have been blown out by non-Mac teams this year. Kudos to BG for convincingly beating Southeast Missouri State and Demolishing Temple. Most impressive performance of the MAC this year was arguably BG performance against Oklahoma(ranked 2).
