That will be a hostile environment for BG, but they did play at Oklahoma, NIU, and Toledo this year.
But lost all three.

03-lol That is true. However, they did score 24 points against a very tough Oklahoma defense and they scored 41 points against Toledo. Don't ask me what happened at NIU.
They did not have the ball alot because of GW. Ball control= better D

Like how we controlled the game against NIU with ball control from several players? 03-wink

Exactly, which wore our D down.

Exactly. And how we didn't.

That's the difference between UT and every other spread team in America. You can run a power running game in addition to 4 or 5 wides, and it makes you very difficult to defend.

I've said it repeatedly - that OC is a great find, and you need to do everything you can to keep him.

As far as what happened with BG @ NIU - it's simple. We were physical, they were not. And we beat their butts. :D

Hard to believe they weren't physical, but that could be.

I know in the first half against Toledo, BG was very physical. They definitey came to play. Only problem was that our offense took control in the 3rd quarter and by the 4th quarter their defense was so tired there was nothing physical about them.

They've never struck me as a physical team. When we've beaten them, we've done a great job stuffing their running game, and have been able to run the ball very well.

Defensively, they've had what I call "jailbreak" times, when they just seem to have their ears pinned back and get after it. Unfortunately, that's harder to do when you're getting blocked.

GMAC may have just jumped to the head of the most exciting bowl list.

That ought to be an offensive explosion.

Some words from a former GMAC bowl participant:

1) Take a jacket and gloves. It is colder than you would think.

2) Don't sit near the PA speaker on the visitor's side. It is loud as hell.

3) Do visit Ed's Crab Shed off the I-10 headed east. MMMMMMMMMMMMM.

That crowd for the UT/BG game was the loudest I have ever heard at the Glass Bowl, and BG still scored 49 points and seemed pretty composed late in the game when they had to score to keep their chances alive.
BG might think they're playing in a library after last Thursday's racket! :D

I can't wait to watch my Tigers play a meaningful game against the MAC's BGSU Falcons.
