I figured you'd ring back. That was heartbreaking. I had a really bad football week last week.

I still think Koetter's alright. He's better than Snyder, and the way things are this year, I don't want to see ASU hunting down a new coach. (Although Willingham is intriguing)

The Pac 10 is fierce. Dropping a coach right now would make ASU like UCLA

Of course, I don't really think Koetter should go. I think a winning season should ensure just about any coach another chance, especially when you look at how many teams failed to even be bowl eligible by the mediocre standard of 6-5. Koetter's all right. My only thing is whether he can ever lead ASU to top 5 kind of heights. Boise State sure hasn't missed him!

Through my work, I am in fairly close proximity to both the ASU and Stanford athletic depts. While I think Willingham should not have been let go, part of that is because I like seeing the Irish mired in mediocrity.
I don't think the guy is an exceptional coach. Since I am an Irish hater, I'd hate to see what Meyer could do with ND.
