I'll take....

1) Auburn - A QB will emerge to lead us to the promised land (I don't know which one yet <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" /> ).
2) LSU - Barring injury to Mauck. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="mad-flaming.gif" />
3) Arkansas - Should be more consistent this year. <img border="0" alt="[NoNo]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" />
4) Bammer - Will lose one or two they should win, but may surprise someone. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />
5) MSU - It's a long road back from last year. <img border="0" alt="[Puke]" title="" src="graemlins/puke.gif" />
6) Ole Mess - Eli injured early, no "D". <img border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" title="" src="graemlins/banghead.gif" />

Interesting, 4 people, 4 different schools, 4 #1 picks. This truly is the most wide-open race out there. I will say though it looks like #5 and #6 are pretty clear.

Hope more keep coming, this makes for interesting debate.

Am I the only person that thinks Eli and the Rebs are going to cause trouble in the West?

not that they won't cause trouble, but that they won't win the West. Ole Miss lost their whole running game from last year. They'll be one-dimensional and a good secondary will beat them every time.

First off, our supposed "whole" running game was one freakin guy.....and in case you didn't notice, Gunn was too, I dunno, something, last year to do **** .

Secondly, I'm not saying we will win the west. Though we have the potential to do so, the truth of the matter is that Ole Miss (in all sports) are becoming expert choke artists. But to say that we're obviously 5th or 6th is being very niave.

Thirdly, to make any major determinations about the state of the Ole Miss defense at this time is also ridiculous. We have a brand new defensive coordinator and will have a brand new defense. They are on the young side, but from all accounts, they have an amazing amount of potential.

Our fball team may not be #1 in the west next year......or even 2 or 3. But to discount the Rebels so easily is surely a mistake. We will definetely be a team to watch out for during the season. And, I feel almost certain that we will cause some upsets.

as always...........Hotty Toddy

Gunn + Stackhouse = loss of starting RB and FB.

Just FYI...not saying Ole Miss won't be a good team. Just think, for now..there are too many questions about them to rank em really high.

I can't complain too much on that one Lauren.

Given a consensus of the picks above...those don't look bad at all.

Let's give it a whirl.

1. LSU
2. Auburn
3. Arkansas
4. Ole Miss
5. Alabama
6. Miss. State

I think the Hogs & Rebs will be fighting hard for 3rd. I wish I could rank Ole Miss a solid 3rd, but like another poster said, they have had a tendency to choke in big games recently. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
