We return much of the MAC's #1 defense.
So you had the MAC's #1 defense, yet you went 5-6 overall and 4-4 in the MAC?
Funny thing is that Marshall and Miami say they had the MAC's #1 defense too.

In MAC games:
KSU #1 in pass defense, #2 in run defense, #1 in total defense.
Anything else, and they are just playing with numbers. :D

Eff it, we'll just have to learn how to

NEVER! :D
Better watch out, or we'll start emulating Ball State.

As to the mileage, though, it will be slightly more for you, not significant. The odd thing is BG is closer to the other West schools than BSU is. Oddly enough, they are also closer to the East schools, too. In either event, your going to Dekalb or Buffalo, or going to KSU-Akron instead of Mt. Pleasant, Athens instead of K-zoo-it's not enough of a difference to be arguable, I don't believe.
Apparently, Dakich has been fighting to get out of playing us twice a year. It was conceived as a rivalry when they moved to the West, like BSU-Miami, but we've won I believe 11 of the last 12, including 5 or 6 in a row at Anderson. I think we've had three 3-0 seasons vs. BG in the last 6 years. (Now we have CMU twice this year, who we are 11-2 vs. in recent years.)
Women's sports: this move will unbalance the divisions tremendously. BSU and Kent have combined to win 10 Jacoby trophies since it started in 1983, slightly less than the rest of the MAC combined. KSU has been first or second every year since 1996. I'm sure BSU's record is equally impressive. I'm also sure this had virtually no bearing on an decision to move teams in realignment.

It already is. :D
=>Dakich cares nill about Kent. The thought of facing the Redhawks twice a year is making him poop his pants.

So how do you think your school will do in its bowl game? Will they score any points?
Better late than never....
Tech has a premiere defense, and an offense with loads a talent (undermined by an utterly HORRIBLE QB who ranks in triple digits in nearly every major I-A stat category). We will be using a second QB to assist in the effort.... if the run game opens it up enough to bail out our QB with easy throws, we win handily. That should happen given how badly teams like Virginia ran all over "the" orange.

Ran all over the Orange? The final score was 31-10; for reference, the final score of the Virginia/Tech game was 30-10.
Since that Virginia game you alluded to, the Cuse have played well (with the obvious exception of the game vs. Temple). They almost knocked off Florida State, and upset the BE's two ranked teams. It's always tough to call SU, for they have been an enigma. They won when they shouldn't have (vs. Pitt and BC) and lost when they should have won (vs. Temple). I want Coach P canned, but he knows how to prepare his teams for big games (ND on national TV last year, and the games I have already mentioned). The running game has been the Orange's biggest asset. Even when Reyes and Rhodes were injured, Ferri was able to pick up the slack. It'll be interesting to see how Syracyse's offense matches up against Georgia Tech's defense.
I'll concede that Ga Tech has an outstanding defense considering the competition it has faced. However, the offense leaves a lot to be desired. As you said, the QB position is uncertain and Tech has reached the 30-point plateau only once (against a team that Syracuse tallied 42 against). I don't see Georgia Tech winning "handily." I'll come on here to eat some crow if proven wrong.
My pick: Georgia Tech 21, SU 13

Georgia Tech Swagger,
Feel free to rub it in. Your team made the Orange look like a bunch of bumbling fools. They made me look like a fool also. I hope GT runs up the score.
It's now 51-14. Keep piling on the points (and I'm not being sarcastic). I hope Syracuse's new AD is still at the game.

Maybe Jim Boeheim... who has been jealous of GT since Kenny Anderson went from NY to play at GT for Cremins... should keep his fat blabbering pie hole shut. See the sig.
