Looking on the ESPN site for each bowl game, they have a section on who the fans think will win on the right. Right now, all the MAC teams are leading:
Team - Confidence - Percent
Toledo - 11.6 - 78.8%
UConn - 9.7 - 21.2%
NIU - 14.6 - 73.5%
Troy - 13.5 - 26.5%
Miami - 11.4 - 64.6%
ISU - 10.6 - 35.4%
MUg - 8.2 - 62.3%
UC - 7.6 - 37.7%
BGSU - 8.6 - 58.5%
Mem - 7.9 - 41.5%

I hope all of the MAC teams win, that would look great for the conference to win all 5 bowl games!

Assessing the chances:
UT/UCONN - What worries me here is that UCONN has an average to aboive-average run defense but a pretty solid pass defense, whereas UT is equally good against the run but weak against the pass. Then again, the Rockets kicked up their play toward the end of the season. This should be a high-scoring affair and could go either way. The Rockets may enjoy a bigger crowd owing to proximity, however.
NIU/Troy - NIU has a far better offense and a jekyl-and-hyde defense. Troy is living on defense. It should be close, but I give the margin of victory to NIU.
Miami/ISU - Tough call, especially as Miami is hurting in the receiver dept. ISU has a tough defense, especially against the pass, and that doesn't bode well for the Redhawks. Neither does turnover margin: ISU is +.82 per game, good for 14th in the country. Miami is...somewhere below 100th. OTOH, Iowa State is hardly an offensive juggernaut, and the RedHawk defense is solid. If Miami holds onto the ball, the Redhawks win a low-to-average scoring game. If they gift the ball to the Cyclones, ISU wins. I'm betting Miami's more recent bowl experience pays off in a victory.
MUg/UC - If UC's QB is out, the Herd should win, and maybe in a rout. If he plays, it's anyone's ball game, but I give a motivated Marshall team a slight edge.
BGSU/Memphis - the biggest question is whether the scoreboard operators will be able to keep up with this one! Memphis brings one of the nation's most feared rushing attacks and the nations' leading rusher. The Falcons bring a high-octane passing attack second only to Texas Tech's. Both teams are decent against the run, but neither team can really stop the pass. BGSU, however, has been better at keeping teams out of the endzone. Falcons in a shootout.

I think alot of this has to do with name recognition.
Bash on the MAC all you want, but folks know these teams have been around for a while, and believe them to be "pretty good"...even if they don't follow their exploits in detail.

I just hope we show up for an entire game. That would be nice to see this season, if only just once.

The rocket crowd should be atleast twice as big as the huskies'.Hopefully the Toledo fans can make the Rockets feel like they are in the glass bowl. I'm liking our record there. We've won 30 of our last 31 there.

Call me a pessimist, but I will be stunned if more than 3,000 Huskie fans show up. If Toledo (or any of the other MAC teams) can't draw more than twice that amount, then there is something wrong.
I would love to see the SVB with a capacity crowd in red and black. At least it would force the other bowls to consider us in the future.

Sorry guys, I need to clarify when throwing huskies out there especially on a MAC board. I did mean the UConn Huskies, but I hope the NIU huskies bring just as many fans as the rockets take to detroit (wishful thinking? :D ) If a lot of the casual Californian fans of the Silicon Valley Classic wear red then that bowl's stands are just gonna be a sea of red.
