I just hope we can bounce back at Ball State. We have a tough time there.

Wow I come home to see this, it really hurts how much we should have won this game.

Might be glad you missed this one, loft. The only time BC led the entire game was at the buzzer.
I hope they can bounce back, too, axe. This one has to sting a bit.

I'm sure by today they will realize that Sunday's game is the more important game. Still...
I hope they take the pain they felt last night and use it to focus better. Worthen Arena is no picnic and we have not won there in quite a while. Last time there, Antonio was taking over the game and suddenly was called for 3 quick fouls and fouled out. We will get no breaks there. I'd rather play about anywhere in the MAC but there.
(On the other hand, it's the closest MAC school to my house, so I like that! It's a great arena, and I like to visit Muncie--though once every two years is enough Muncie for me.)

C'mon, Axeme. It's not that bad. My favorite memory of a Kent State game at Ball State was in 1997 when Bonzi Wells hit a last-second shot from behind the center line to give the Cards a 78-75 win. That was pure drama. Sunday's game should be very interesting. Your Flashes have a tendency to build big leads and blow them, while my Cardinals tend to fall way behind early and then come back. I also look forward to seeing two of the MAC's premier point guards go head to head. This game could well be a preview of what to expect in the MAC tournament next March. Here's to a good, hard-fought, well-played game Sunday.

You, too, punt. Best to all Flashes in 2005.
My 2005 wish is that IF we play BC again, the game is not scheduled over the holiday season. Two heartbreakers in a row to those guys does ruin the cheer.
Sunday is a key game to see how we bounce back. I am encouraged by the fact we got over the OT loss at Chestnut Hill last year to go on another win streak. But this is not a senior led team.
BTW, does anyone else notice that we seem to get stuck on seven win streaks over the last two years?

Too bad that I am guessing after these 3 games with BC that they will NEVER play us again and definately not at the MACC.
Here's to a Flash 2005! 8-3 is a solid non-conf record. BC would have been a nice shiny star, but we all know that the road to the NCAA goes through Cleveland and we like it at the Gund. :D
Let's hope that they learn to hold a lead. It appears that they got over the slow start thing. If Gerwig, Haynes, & Cutley step up and lead with Youngblood and Warz steping up, it could be a fun March!

Quote:Your Flashes have a tendency to build big leads and blow them,
Really only true in the BC game. We battled back from a 17 point hole at Marquette to come within one, had a see-saw with Old Dominion, came back from a 19 points down at CMU. I don't recall blowing any leads to lose until last night. The second string got a little out run by CMUs first string, but we won handily.
We never play well in Muncie, and we won't know the toll from last night until Sunday. My bet is that it will be at one extreme or the other. We'll either be flat and lose or madder than heII looking to take it out on someone.
The refs can't be any worse that they've been from Creighton, CSU and last night. Can they?
