This hurts, but I'm happy for him.

I also think career-wise, this'd probably be the best move for him. It seems to be a pretty good year to be a receiver in the draft, and Dante does lead the nation with 127.2 YPG, as well as 2nd in the nation with 1399 yards. He should definitely be atleast a Top 10 receiving prospect. :)

That's two of the wests top offensive weapons gone early. :(

I hope both teams are out hustling finding replacements.

MAC DBs everywhere are breathing a sigh of relief. Now, if Jennings and DesLaurier would just follow suit... 03-wink

Seriously, congratulations to Dante, and I hope he gives the MAC another high-round selection. 04-rock Oh yeah: I also hope he doesn't go to the Packers, Vikings, or Bears.

According to the Muncie Star Press, he petitioned the NFL for an evaluation and found he would be no better than a second round pick.

I remember Toledo's 2003 game in Muncie. Dante kept catching these little 8-10 yard passes all game long. I think he had like 15 catches in the game. 03-banghead

Damn I hate Muncie and we have to play there again in 2005!

That's not a big deal. I didn't look it up (so feel free to prove me wrong), but I don't think you usually see a lot of receivers going high in the first round. Going 2nd or 3rd wouldn't be an insult and might land him in a better situation anyway.

More like MAC linebackers. He had great success against NIU on 5 yard routes.
