This was possibly the most exciting game I've ever witnessed at Anderson Arena. Almost 5,000 strong saw a game of two halves. In the first half, the rockettes dominated the Falcons and led 34-17 at the break. But in very sweet fashion, BG came out in the 2nd half and went on a 23-3 run to take the lead. The game basically see sawed back and forth the rest of the way. Keith Triplett of UT is one hell of a player...too bad his attitude needs help. Dude totally lost his cool in the second half over nothing, and ends up pushing one of his teammates. BG's winning points came on a beauty of a pass from John Floyd to Germain Fitch in the lane and Fitch laid it in with 28 seconds left. UT had one last chance but a 3 pt try clanged off the rim with 1 second left and the Falcons won. Fitch was a monster for BG as was John Reimold, who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in the 1st half. But oh did Reimold come alive in the 2nd, nailing treys from everywhere. Man, did it get LOUD in AA...people can joke all they want about Anderson Arena but I'll take it over EVERY other venue in the MAC. When it is jumping, ain't no better venue anywhere in this league...and one of the best atmospheres in the country.
BG now 11-4, 5-2 MAC and will be on the road this Wed at CMU and then at Ohio next Saturday.
WAY TO GO FALCONS!!!
And the BG women keep a rolling as well. First game of the DH saw Liz Honegger score 21 to help BG roll over Western Michigan, 80-58. Lady Falcons are all alone in 1st place at 12-5, 5-1 MAC. Big game at Kent this Wed night...I'll be there after work. GO FALCONS!!

Its even better having it on the DVR to replay the last seconds again, and again, and again.
Now if we can just get them at home.....
