Just was sitting here thinking, which can be hazardous to my health, but was thinking about our centers(basketball). Josh is basically playing center now instead of his forward position, but does anyone think we should go after a "stud" center in the off season, or see if Lefeld or Vandermeer pan out? I am not impressed with Lefeld, and will give Vandermeer the benefit of the doubt because he is a frosh.

We're thinking the same here at OU. We have Williams a PF playing center. We are loaded at guards and forwards, but lack that big man that can put a team over the top. Many MAC teams are like this. Miami and UB are two with legit centers. A strong big man inside like a Kaman can make a big difference in the MAC. Most big centers are going pro or to a big name school. A mid-major with a decent center(Vermont) can really do well.

I would like to see someone like Lenny Matela; but taller and bigger. Someone who goes after the basketball hoop with determination and isn't afraid.

I think we should see if Lefeld or Vandermeer pan out...both are very young but have great height (6'10" and 6'11"). Give them some time and see how they do.

GO FALCONS!! BEAT AKRON!!

After watching Vandermeer tonight against OU, I feel a little bit better. Being his first collegiate start and having 7 blocks and 6 or 8 points I think he did a wonderful job. With a lil more experience and bulk he could pan out to the type of center we need.

What a great performance by Vandermeer! I was going crazy with every shot he swatted. You're right, FF....he puts on some weight and muscle? Look out. 6'11" Freshman.

GREAT second half last night by the Falcons...when BG plays like that, NOBODY will beat them.

Tomorrow night....SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP THE ROCKETTES!!!!!

GO FALCONS! 04-rock

Not sure what my gut feeling about Toledo is, but I think it might get ugly for us. Toledo is pissed and ready to get revenge. Kent State I feel a lil better about this year because they aren't the same Flash team of years past, yet they dominate at home.

I think we will come outta Savage with a win tonight...Kent is a house of horrors for both the men's and women's teams. Kent may not be quite the same as previous years but at home, they still kick tail.

Sure UT will be pissed...so what? The pressure is on them, they were picked to win it all. BGSU ws picked 5th outta 7 teams in the West.

I like our chances tonight for a big ole Sweeeeeep! Got my broom ready. :D

GO FALCONS! BEAT UT....AGAIN. 03-wink
