Papa Lou BSU Wrote:In other celebrity death news... Ossie Davis died this morning at age 87.

He was in too many films and TV shows to mention, but he was great in "Do the Right Thing," and as the Huxtable's grandfather on "The Cosby Show."

He was fantastic as President John F. Kennedy in "Bubba Hotep."

"That's a ****** soul-sucking mummy!"
How that movie didn't win the Oscar for best everyphuckingthing is beyond me. 04-bow
If the Oscars had any value, the award for best original screenplay would automatically be given to any movie containing the line "Eat the dog dick of Anubis, asswipe." 03-lol

Who knew that CE did some writing for Sam Raimi?

I read somewhere that Raimi directed "Spiderman" with the stipulation that he be allowed to make "Bubba", let's hope that he had a similar deal for "Spiderman 2." Perhaps there is another gem waiting in the wings.

"Bubba Ho-Tep" was written and directed by Don Coscarelli of "Phantasm" fame.

Yes, but Raimi COULD have made Bubba Ho-tep, as well as the Phantasm movies; (I still have nightmares about the "ball" from Phantasm... :crying: )

Heres hoping the message at the end of "Ho-tep" about the forthcoming "Bubba Nosferatu" isn't just a joke, although I haven't heard anything about actual production.

Originally, Animal House was going to filmed on the University of Georgia campus. The Presdient axed the idea saying he did not want any of Georgia's campus used for the movie. The movie was actually filmed on the Campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene!
