less than 10 minutes to tip off fans. This should be a good one again. WMU beat Ohio bad last year in k-zoo; however, this isn't last year's Bobcats. The Akron and Miami wins really put the heat on the Cats this weekend. WMU has some heat from Ball State. WMU lost to Miami, but beat KSU, and UB. This is a key crossover game. A win today would makeup for the loss to NIU for Ohio. With Kent State having two games against CMU, it is important for the other east contenders to steal a game from another crossover game. Most intra-division games are usually split, so winning some key cross-overs are the key. For game stats see ohiobobcats.com

What a game.
Ben Reed with 27 points for the Broncos. Went 5-6 from the three point line. Outstanding.
The Bobcats nearly lost this game at the ft line, going 10-22.

HUGE WIN FOR THE 'CATS!!!!!!!!!!
Unbelieveable. I thought we'd lost this one 4 different times. Amazing comeback for a really young and inexperienced team. Watch out, MAC...this OU team is on a ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bobcats win let me repeat Bobcats win !!!!! 89-85 12-2 Ohio run to close game. Does this sound like what happen last weekend. Ohio is now 12-7 and 7-4 in the MAC east. Ohio is now 9-0 at the 'vo. WMU is now 8-4. Great week for the Cats. On tv Monday nite at BG at 7pm on FSN ohio. Then Miami comes to town. Bobcats win while struggling. Green and Troutman were sensational. Troutman with back to back 20 pts games.

Good game. :crying:
I listened to it on the radio and noticed something odd.
This oddity has invoked a question.
And this question is.........Does the Ohio fans know that it is ok to cheer for their team when they score?

I cannot believe we won that game. At about 8 or 9 minutes left in the game people were getting ready to leave, then we would be back to within two points, they would sit back down, then we would get down like 10, then finally our new guys pulled us over the Broncos. In the next couple years Jeremy Fears will be known as the best guard in the MAC. Mychal Green hits all the clutch shots. The last couple minutes of that game was the most exciting in a long time. Thank god Reed fouled out...he is a GREAT player. He had WMU's first 9 points at the game and never stopped until he got five fouls. The O Zone was on him all day and I thought for sure he was going to shoot a last second shot to win it or somethin (like Andy "Daddy's Boy" Hipshire did a couple years ago).
10 wins in a row at the Convo, next up...BG.

Congrats to Ohio.
Although it's becoming apparent that beating us isn't necessarily a "Goliath" win anymore. We win one, lose a couple, win one, lose one, etc. We've been struggling for a few weeks, and have been having tons of problems holding late leads.
Hopefully we regain some momentum and win enough MAC games to get a first-round bye in the MAC tourney. We could lose to Northern Iowa or whoever we're playing in the (LOL) "Bracket Buster". That one is basically a meaningless exhibition game.

BTW, I thought it was kind of funny that Reed had to have a police escort when he was leaving the court.

If Ben Reed was on Ohio, he would be your favorite player. Deserves every bit of credit he's ever recieved. If WMU wins the MAC he's the POY, and that would compliment his ROY quite nicely. Ben Reed is the first player and only player in this league who you will hate more than anyone (for his antics) and on the next possession down the court drain a three in your face and look you right in the eye. Enough said.
How many players have been MAC ROY, and MAC POY in their career? The list must be short.

Hey I'm not saying anything bad about Reed. He is a GREAT player. I wasn't aware of how good he actually is until today. Everyone on the OHIO message board is saying the same thing...even some O Zone members that were heckling him all day admitted he was an outstanding player. The OZone was just havin some fun with him. They booed him everytime he got the ball and just stuff like that. He "shhhh"ed the O Zone and that just added to the fire. Everyone realized how good of a player he is, he killed us at every part of the floor. No one was even near him at the end of the game, no one would've done anything to him.

Gary Trent was "Shaq of MAC" from day one. Reed is a player. Will he be a NBA first rounder?

I dont think he'll be drafted, unless its late. Ben has probably the most physically fit body of any MAC player (and Keith Triplett), and obviously the shooters touch but he has difficulties dribbling through traffic and needs to polish some other skills.
His confidence could certainly work against him, or be his biggest assett. In college, as said before, he dances around, smacks the floor, whoops everybody up and can back it up. In the league though antics like that would probably land him on his ******. Either that or seriously embarrassed by other players.

Reed has the game to back up his antics. As a MAC hoops fan, It really adds some spice to this league to have guys like Reed. Miami has Devin Davis a few years ago with that hair-doo at OU we loved to see Him come to town because he gave us another reason to taunt Miami. That makes college hoops so fun. It's part of the game. I'm sure Reed enjoyed taunting the O-zone Saturday. And the O-zone enjoyed Reed fouling out when his team needed him the most.

Reed is a great college basketball player and he's a no-brainer 1st team MAC selection this year (if not POY)
That said there's no way he gets drafted into the NBA. He needs some serious work on the defensive side of the ball and leaves something to be desired with his ball handling skills to be considered professional material.
This is not meant to be a slam on Ben Reed, I think he is an exceptional player, however I disagree with the notion that he could be drafted into the NBA.
