KSU 37
NIU 24

3:23. This is NO party...

We're getting absolutely killed in the paint on both ends of the floor. It could get real ugly in the second half.

Whe is that other sports thing on? 03-lol

NIU is no competition - the Marshall team of the West.

Flashes look prime to eat roo meat on Wednesday night. A KSU win their would eliminate the Zips from MAC contention and make it a Kent footrace with Miami.

Fingers crossed.

How quickly you forget about that 25 point beatdown that Ohio gave you guys in Athens a couple weeks back. Seeing as how we are currently ahead of Kent in the MAC East standings, a Kent win at Akron does nothing to eliminate OU from the East race

Uh, where did it say it did?
You guys are getting awfully sensitive lately. We know exactly what our record is and we will be tied in about 5 minutes.

Do you have to be mentioned in every post about MAC basketball?
Sometimes people talk about teams other than OU.

I never said otherwise. You asked why I thought Flashy's post said a Kent win @ Akron would make the East a two-team race, and I showed you the quote. You now are trying to change the subject.

People can talk about whatever they want. I feel it's perfectly appropriate though to inject in a discussion of the MAC East race the fact that Ohio is still very much alive.

And I said you were being overly sensitive to the fact that OU wasn't mentioned. It also didn't say OU was out of the MAC East race.
Right now the issue is Miami. And with Akron as the only team in the East with a road win over team with a winning record in the MAC (BG) and the fact that they are our next opponent, that's a big game that should we win, will be a big plus. None of the four contenders in the East has a road win over any of the others. The first one to get one will be a leg up.

That is a GROSS mischaracterization!!

Marshall is the Northern Illinois of the East. 03-razz

This is just silly. I responded to a pretty clear post and you got your panties in a bunch over the audacity of an Ohio fan including his team in the list of contenders.

It's not OUr fault that your projections for this Ohio team were way off at the beginning of the year, and it's not OUr fault that we and Akron have the best young nucleuses in the league right now. And I'm sure as hell not going to apologize for being excited about that fact.

If you think it's bad now, just wait until if/when OU wins its next three (@BGSU, vs. Miami, vs. Akron).

That having been said, I'm through with this conversation. It's ridiculous. I think our record and win streak speaks for itself.

And I don't agree with Flashy's assessment anyway. 03-wink
One game doesn't knock anyone out at this point.
Last year we won at UA and turned around and lost to them at the MACC.
UB is four games out and pretty much done in the div. title race since they now have to leapfrog over 4 teams. Those four teams have a lot of baskteball to play before anything is decided.

Stick's "think positive" campaign seems to be working.

Marshall 55, Ball State 54 15:52 remaining.

I like Miami's chances to win the division being two games up. One slip by Ohio, Kent, or Akron, and it's much more difficult to overcome being three games down.

I believe the home teams won last year. I'm certain that the Zips won at the JAR late in the season.

The Zips fan is right. We split with UA last year...Flashes winning at the MACC during our January streak and losing at the JAR during our February fall.

Glad the Wednesday night game is on TV so I can see it.

I stand corrected--it was the year before. I remember the Zips pounding us on our floor too well. But it was two years ago.
