KD knows how to use his talent. Jeremiah Wood out for the year. Predicted for the back of the pack---but no one told Keith and his team!!

Great win tonight at the Convo.

Two really good, well-coached teams, great, tenacious defense, a big crowd and an Akron win over the Redhawks in OT.

Charlie Coles' team picked for one of the top three in the East, with Mason and Horace and Akron picked for the bottom of the pack--only to lose MAC Frosh of the Year Jeremiah Wood for the season.

Absolutely Keith Dambrot for COY in the MAC.

Pardon my ignorance, (as a graduate student I have little time to keep up with current events) but was Coach Dambrot always with Akron or was he with another MAC school before?

Me thinks you already know the answer - maybe a little disingenuity on your part?

Um, actually I’m quite genuine. Why? Is there something funny about his situation?

When I was an undergrad at UW-Madison, I spent a lot of time following college basketball (the Badgers were quite good in 2000-01). His name just sticks out for some reason, but I don’t remember it being associated with Akron. I tend to remember lots of names and faces but quickly forget everything else.

Second guess: Was it Central Michigan?

Hmmm. Using the term "undergrad" implies you then went to, or are currently in, graduate school, thus it is safe for all of us to assume you are intelligent enough to use the search functions on your computer. It's been hashed and rehashed here and other places over the last year.

And your second guess belies your protests of sincerity.

I'm certain you meant to start the trivia game, right?

Yes, it is true--both Keith Dambrot AND Charlie Coles are former CMU coaches.

Now, back to cracking those books!!!

They're just sensitive becasue they thought you wanted to bring up the little scandal that got him fired at CMU--an apparently inappropriate racial remark that has been much discussed and for which he paid a large price in terms of his career, which he now has back on track.
Frankly, it's a non-issue anymore--that was quite a while ago and nobody would question his racial attitudes today. Nobody with any sense anyway.
And, yes they still are insane anyway. 03-wink

Not after last night. Going 0-2 against your archrival is cause for being excluded from the ballott altogether. Even Dan Hipsher won at least a split against Kent State. Dambrot is a sham.

FLASHES RULE!

That kind of post is unacceptable. Even Mrs. Chief of Police would agree.

Ban Flashy and put in on the Underhill's account.
