I didn't know that liking Corso and Knight was the litmus test for 40 year olds.

They want Chaney to stay because the MAC would never want him.

It's pretty obvious.
I personally believe it's time for Chaney to step down.

AND

Just say <span style='font-size:30pt;line-height:100%'>NO</span> to Temple.

Just don't call it an IQ test. I may have revealed too much.

Temple basher here.

And Chaney should be gone. Period. Whether it's a graceful resignation as suggested earlier or an outright firing. Kick him to the curb if necessary.

O.K. Then.

Thanks for stepping up. Lets see if we can get a caller from OU?

I'm starting te get a bad vibe on the Temple thing, also.

Doesn't fit the MAC profile.

Chaney need look no further than the mirror for his failures. Racism, that is pure B.S. and always seems to be the excuse for failures.
You have to remember that a lot in this world has changed since John Chaney graduated college in 1955. He's bitter because of life experiences.

I don't know it depends on the context of the comment. It probably wouldn't be considered a racial comment.

If you can't see there is a big difference between calling for some rough play in the court........and phsyically roughing up players yourself than you have a problem.

I think this big defense of Knight's abuse is a racist attitude on your part.

Kit,
You are nuts to even try to defend this guy. Perhaps you forgot when Chaney literally had a GW asst by the throat, The point is if Knight called his own player a goon you would be all over him as a racist. In fact you cited the Calbert incident, where he joked w/Knight.

I don't care about how Chaney grew up, the bottom line hes been blessed w/a big time job and hes had a least two occasions that would have led many to be fired. Keep in mind tha 2 coaches before accomplished close to the same if not better than Chaney @ Temple, Harry Litwack (Hal of Fame) and Casey (NBA HC). Basketball was certainly strong @ Temple before Chaney. BTW, Chaney has thrown out the race card at least weekly as a defense for irresponsible behaviors.

He should be kept accountable the same as every other coach, including the fired Knight and Woody Hayes.
