WKU just renovated their basketball arena over the past 2 years. They lowered the seating capacity a bit - to between 7,600-7,800 - but added chair-back seats in almost all of the sections and luxury boxes for corporate sponsors. The capacity fits right in with the range of MAC venues, and WKU's home attendance would rank #1 , based on msopher's breakdown of your league attendance. WKU's fans get pretty upset if they draw less than 5,000 for a game - even a midweek non-conference game, and usually let their fellow fans know about it.

WKU starts on a $35 million renovation of their football stadium in the next couple of years.

If anyone is interested, http://www.wkusports.com has a decent overview of their facilities - click the "Facilities" link on the left side of the page. The first thing that will pop up is a nice interior shot of the arena during a b-ball game.

Western Kentucky is going to be a great addition to the MAC.

Wouldn't it be something if the MAC expanded to 16 teams with the addition of WKU, MTSU, SIU and Temple?

Southern Illinois
Western Kentucky
Middle Tennessee
Ball State
