Thanks for posting this, Reno. Very informative.

Forgot about Luke Tillman at RB. Remember when he was our FB prized recruit out of Ohio two years ago? Makes me feel a little better about the running game.

I had to go to Vandelay site for the 2003 recruiting info. I always liked Tillman on paper. I heard they were converting him to a TE but it seems he had injury problems. Nice to see him in the backfield again.

"RB Luke Tillman is a tremendous prospect from Elyria (OH). A big kid at 220 lbs. with 4.6 speed, he was one of the highest rated sophomores in the Midwest two years ago, suffered a terrible knee injury as a junior, then recovered to rush for over 1,500 yards as a senior in the rugged Lake Eire League of greater Cleveland. "

<a href='http://www.vandelaysports.com/football/recruites2003/kent.htm' target='_blank'>Vandelay 2003 KSU Recruiting Report</a>

Tillman must be over 240 by now. I would love to see a punishing backfield. Somehow I think Martin would too.

We have a running back at Kent by the name of Kevin Beverly that is one of the best back there , if they don't play this kid we might lose another back.

I think Kevin will get plenty of playing time next year. But he's got to hang onto the ball.

I think this kid is gone if they don't play him this year. Watch and see this kid is a JR. This kid got alot of playing time under coach PEES and with from playing to not playing . Name one back that is better than KEVIN. they don't have one .

Hey, I hope Kevin gets the playing time to show us he's great. Fine with me.

But if he doesn't get over the "dropsies", he's not going to be playing anywhere. Any one who fubmles four times in one game is going to be on the coaches' **it list. doesn't matter who the coach is. Kevin outght to know that.

Hey, Flashfan I had seen (4) interceptions in a game at Kent , but that did not change anything. also this kid was just a freshman at that time he had those (4) fumbles. Let give him a chance.

Try to understand. Kevin Beverly plays for the Flashes. I want him to do a great job.

But a RB who drops the ball four times in one game is not going to get a lot of playing time anywhere until he proves he can hang on to it. I sincerely hope Kevin proves he can be trusted with the ball. But don't blame his drops on the coaches.

Comparing interceptions and fumbles are apples and oranges. Interceptions can happen due to bad passes, which rest with the QB, but also things like tips and hits which as not the QB's fault. Fumbles happen because the RB is vulnerable to strips or can't take a hit.

Plus,a team typically doesn't have more than one starting QB. There are several RB options.
