The Ball State baseball team won its 11th consecutive game this afternoon in an 11-inning thriller, 4-3 over Akron. The Zips scored a run in the 1st and two in the 3rd, all unearned, to take a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the 9th. The Cardinals scored three times, the last two on a bases loaded single by Kyle Dygert, to tie the score and send the game into extra innnings. Dygert then hit another single with a runner on second and one out in the 11th to knock in the winning run and give the Cardinals a 7-0 league record, their best start ever. Akron fell to 1-1 in the MAC. Ball State is now 19-9 overall. The Zips and Cardinals will play single games again tomorrow and Sunday afternoon.

Looks like the MAC ain't doin too bad. The Cats are on a 7 game winning streak. During this streak, the offense has been on FIRE. We have outscored oppenents 68-20 in the last 7 games. We are 10-12 overall and 2-2 in the MAC. We're in the middle of a series with EMU.
