They always say you remember your first. I am glad to be joining the MAC, and please next year try to limit scoring on us to 55. 70 was just inhuman.

After that game I turned in my season tickets. They actually played better after that, Beat 'cuse, competitive with Pitt. The top of the MAC is real good. If we keep them under fifty, we have a chance... of leaving town with our jock straps inside out.

If it wasn't a 2 1/2 hour drive home, I would have walked after the 70+yd run just before the half!
With the halftime adjustments Wallace held them to less than 7 td's in the second half.

You did. Your defense stacked up pretty decently early on and WW was hurting us a little with his mobility. That was the first qtr with Temple ahead 10-7. Then Toledo scored 17 points in the 2nd qtr to take a 24-10 halftime lead, all in the last 7 minutes of the first half. That was the back-breaker in the game for Temple.

Glad to be on board. You don't know how it feels to be wanted. Temple Football has been down and kicked by the Philadelphia media for a long time. There are some of us that support the team through many hard year. I am been a season ticket holder since I graduated in 1975. Believe me, I have seen some really great games and I seen some bad ones too. I do feel that we will prove ourselve and make the MAC proud. There are many of us that are grateful of the invite.

Just don't get down or alienated by the views on the boards here the last few days. I hope you can understand that many are disappointed in a football only invite. We all wanted your basketball programs to come over.

Eventually, people will stop the complaining and you will find MAC fans to be pretty nice and cool. Again, welcome to the MAC!

My 7-year-old summed up the 2005 BG-Temple game best. Midway through the third quarter, he stood up and said, "this is the greatest football game I have ever seen."

Just curious guys...Did BG try to hold back (I.E. reserves just played well) or was there a little bit of "lets kick the tar out of the BCS team" running up the score? 70 does not seem like they called of the dogs.

BG called off the dogs. They had 2nd and 3rd teamers in the game and ran almost every play late in the game. At one point, I believe the 3rd string running back had a 20 yard TD run where he was untouched on his way to the endzone.

It was ugly, but could have been much worse if BG didn't call off the dogs.

Thank you Sir for the objective view! That is pretty impressive...Again I am Pitt Fan first and a MAC forever...The MAC has come a Long way! there was a time mediocre BCS eams and some Non BCS would smash MAC teams...Now many second tier teams are dominated by the MAC....Not even really second tier but even some of the ones at the top of the BCS.

I'm not going to insult BGSU's effort but the point margin needs a little perspective. There was an off field incident involving the team which polarized some of the players and staff, imho. TU intercepted Jacobs on the 1st drive and the way our offense took the field showed me we didn't want to play FB that afternoon. We led 3-0 after a couple mins and trailed 49-3 by halftime.

The following week another incident led to one of our most publicized defensive players (and a Steeler draft choice this year) being suspended and TU played its best half of the season in taking a 2 TD lead over Pitt at halftime. Unfortunately, we lost that one too but respectably.

I'm not going to drag my opinion about the changes that are desperately needed at Temple but, once they are made, Temple will be one of the top teams in the MAC...
