Seriously, goldbird....are we an obession with you or what?? I think you seriously need a hobby. But, since you asked, and because I'm such a sweet loving and generous person, I will dignify your questions for now.
First, we are playing Memphis this very football season. It is our second game of the year. We last played Memphis about 3 years ago (and won). No, we do not play them every year as we like to throw in schools such as Texas Tech.. And, don't forget the lifelong contract that ears (aka teletubby. aka the gambler)signed us up for with Arkie state. But anyway...back to this topic of conversation........
And, as for playing USM, I'm not the athletic director nor a coach...simply a fan...so I couldn't tell you everything you want to know. However, newspaperrebel is right....USM was offered a game at Vaught Hemingway but said no and asked to either play in Jackson or in Hattiesburg...which isn't going to fly. First of all, our stadium is bigger than either (particularly southerns). Actually, it's the biggest in the state. (I know, not necessarily saying a lot to the rest of the world, but it's important to this discussion). Secondly, when our fans will most likely make up 2/3 of the "audience" (basing this on average game attendace from both schools), we deserve the majority of the money from the event. I, for one, am not interested in donating to USM's athletic fund.
I have no double standard. But, this is not the forum for bashing and name calling. We are all (presumably) adults, and I do not tolerate those who do not act as such. You do not know me or the other Ole Miss fans on this board. However, you go defaming the Rebel name to others on this board (which is actually kind of funny). I do not know what problems you have had with other Ole Miss fans....but just because one bird pooped on your shirt, you shouldn't go kill all birds. Goldbird, please, from now on, behave like an adult and act in a civilized manner. And then, we can have in depth intelligent (at least on my part) conversations. No name calling and swearing will be tolerated. We do have censors to consider.
