Any idea on who captains might be this year? I hope Hutton gets on there somehow...he's by far the most energetic/crowd-interacting player I saw all last year.

Armour what does crowd energizing have to do with being a team leader?

I wouldnt want him as a captain. I will not go any further than saying that.

Very true. Captains are for both on and off the field. Just because you wave your arms in the air does not mean that you are a leader. Josh Haldi didn't wave his arms in the air last year, but he was a leader! Same could be said for Dan Sheldon!

I think a good captains choices for this year are Harris & (Free or Lueck) on offense, Ray Smith and Javan Lee on Defense

Tease! Wouldn't want you to rat out a former teammate, but that's an intreguing set up.

I thought that they did select the captains for the 2005 season already.

Agreed, I was humiliated to be a Huskie fan on that play, Hutton is probably the last guy I would choose.

That play still pisses me off - there is something really weird on that play. You give up tackling someone on the 6 yard line?????

What was the line?

You better have something to back up your crap if you're going to suggest a kid is in on a fix.

I wasn't sure it said anywhere he was on the team.

But then again it seems on this board you are the only one allowed to express opinions about things you have nothing to do with.

He can have an opinion, just like I can think he's an idiot to suggest that he was "humiliated to be a Huskie" by that play, especially without having any idea why what he saw happened.

If you are going to quote him...actually quote him.

He was humiliated being a huskie fan...not a huskie. If he thought it made the team look bad, and seems to me as if a lot of people feel that way, he can say he was humiliated.

So I ask dan, where did it say that maddawg thought he was on the team? Because I didn't know you happened to be the coach.

The troy incident.

My impression from being there, on that side of the field and watching it a few times on tape and discussing it with buddies that are high school coaches...he thought the 5 yrd line was the goal line. that simple. Mental mistake.

Its to bad because he could have tatooed that kid.

Dan, just because he is humiliated as a fan by a play, doesn't seem to suggest he thinks he is on the team or thought that he was trying to fix a game. Just as were all embarrassed when we lost 23 games in a row (# check?), you don't have to be on the team to be proud or embarrassed of your school or people on the team you root for.

Without a doubt I think that was what happened. He pulled off, he didn't miss the man on purpose, clearly being on a field he wasn't used to. Simply was a mental mistake no more. But mental mistakes are the ones that kill.

That's the way I saw it.

As to Maddawg - I apologize, I misread your post after a couple too many beers. I was in full "skim to make sure I don't have to delete any offending posts" mode, and shouldn't reply to posts in that mode. It happens.....my bad.
