Tough luck for former Golden Flash linebacker Eric Mahl was cut by the Browns today at training camp. Hopefully he'll get the chance to make it somewhere else or possible on their practice squad later. You'd think a team switching to a 3-4 would want to keep fast, athletic lb's around.....

Gotta be a dream to suit up in a Browns uniform for him even if it was just training camp. Great to see the Browns give the MAC players a look. Some will stick.

That's a shame. I went to the first day of camp on Friday, and got to talk to him for a minute after practice. He seemed excited. It would be nice for him to be able to catch on somewhere.

The last few years i would have agreed with that, but now that the dictator is gone, this regime seems much better.

That really sucks. I hope such a dedicated player will end up somewhere in pro ball.

People like Eric are what is RIGHT with sports, somebody with his head on straight, who earned his degree, and works hard year round to make himself better. He deserves the opportunity at the next level. He won't dissappoint!

In related news, CMU's Tory Humphrey was cut by Indianapolis but signed by the Packers. Good for Tory, bad for me, 'cause I may have to root against him now. 03-wink
