Here's an excerpt of the story I found on dallascowboys.com....looks like Beriault has done well for himself early in camp...

Young Gun

Parcells admittedly has no idea what to do with sixth-round pick Justin Beriault, but he knows he'll have to make a decision if the rookie safety continues to make big plays in practice.

Beriault, who is working behind Roy Williams at strong safety, looked dominant in team drills Monday morning. He picked off quarterback Tony Romo, made several strong tackles and looked like the ball-hawking safety Parcells desperately needs.

Beriault was thought to be a candidate for the free safety job along with Keith Davis, Lynn Scott and Izell Reese. The Cowboys need to fill that spot so Roy Williams can concentrate on playing in the box rather than dropping into coverage.

"I'm certainly not moving Roy to free safety," Parcells said.

After practice Parcells spoke with friend and consultant Ron Wolf, the former Packers general manager visiting camp again, about where Beriault might fit. Beriault played primarily strong safety at Ball State and had at least 100 tackles in each of his four seasons there.

"Now, he's basically been a down player all his life, an aggressive guy and you like what you see of him doing that," Parcells said. "He shows up at practice. I don't know what I'm going to do with him. I don't know. I just know it looks like there's some potential there."

Beriault said he wants to get stronger and keep the weight on his slender frame. As of Saturday he checked in at 205 pounds, and the club wants him around 208.

"My goal right now is to make the team and help however possible, whether it's running down on kickoffs and punts," he said. getting to know ...
