In reality Bart your tuition and fees, like mine (were) are a drop in an awfully big bucket that has taken a hundred years and many, many other sources to keep half full. We are bound by this as students and then alums and this is one big reason we should all appreciate each other when we come together for an event like a football game.
My post was more intended to show how disingenuous a generalization is if used to respond to another generalization.
And I think it worked.
Nothing personal............
go Huskies!

You mean a drop in the bucket that has disproportionately increased ahead of inflation the past few years?

By the way, I don't resent your generation or people of your ilk - I just like to show how generalizations can be destroyed or incorrect from the get-go. I don't think our generalization went anything beyond "You're old and don't like to stand up and cheer the whole game and be excessively loud" - which are all statements of fact.

What a waste of time. Two sets of fans arguing over stupid things. We are both fans of the same team right?

It was 28-0, let the students go drink.
Silly me! I thought they were there to see a football game! I thought that with 168 hours in a week, they could maybe give up just 3 hours. But, hey, life's a drinking party, and maybe giving up 3 hours per week of home games is asking too much.

" 38",

It's not nice to hate other Huskie fans who may lack the energy, passions or alcohol copnsumption of some younger students.

Hate the lack of exuberance if you must but "hate" itself is most counterproductive and a careless expression abused too often.

I hate it when people hate stuff.

It's not your waste of time, so don't worry about it. One person's arguing is another person's debating. Nothing wrong with a little healthy debate.

I am so glad that you are the compass to guide what people choose to do with their own time.

I am quite sure I could think of things that you should be doing with 3 hours here and there as well!

It's okay, NIU27! You can use those three hours to drink. I know you need it.

There. Fell better now?
