Lili just hit Category 4 status and the meteoroligists are predicting a possible 5. This could get ugly. Think I'll leave for Oxford tonight.

Sounds like my pops is gonna be a bit pestered (to say the least) this week. He had to stop harvest last week for Izzy. I imagine it's a good thing I moved an hour and a half away.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Camille a Cat.5 hurricane? That was my freshman year at Ole Miss but I just can't remember. That hasn't been but 34 years ago.

Camille was indeed a 5. Lili would be the first 5 to hit the gulf coast since Camille. This may suck.

It was the highest there is. It was pulling pine trees out of the ground by the roots as far north as Hattiesburg. It was during one of my sabbaticals from Ole Miss when I worked for The Clarion-Liar in Jack-town, MS.

Now you're starting to worry me. I like my pine trees right where they are. If it ain't broke, don't uproot it and toss through my roof.

Like the old saying, "It's not nice to fool around with Mother Nature!"

Why does LSUjoe keep doing that?

Hell no 10. I wish I could leave for Oxford tonight, but the whole work thing kinda prevents that. There will be Hooters tomorrow night! (At least I hope)

Unless the heavens shall part above us and God steps down to destroy all in his sight, there will ALWAYS be Hooters.

A Rebel-Hurricane party it is. Very fitting, don't you think? After just about every Ole Miss Rebel party I've ever been to, the place has looked like a hurricane hit it. By the way, I've been brainstorming and we could also do some of these Reb get togethers down the road at places like Lager's World Grill or Hops. I'm all about micro-brews. What do y'all think?

"Hurricane Eli". . .

That would be very useful this weekend. Maybe the mere mention of hurricanes in the weather report will get the Gators scared.
