I didn't get married until I was "almost" 33 years old. Believe me, you will still have oats left - even then, but if you make that commitment, you just keep those oats in your. . .bag. I have 3 wonderful children that have more than made up for any oats that I did not sew.

My advice, "Don't commit until you are willing to give up whatever you think is more important than that special person."

Rebel_Rx, you sound so sexy saying, "Ooooo la la!"
Good Luck!! It will all come out in the wash.

Yeah, that's the type of thing I don't want to rush into until I know that the situation is absolutely right for me. I've tried to rush it before, because I thought I was ready for it. WRONG!! Anyway, on with living and enjoying life. It's too good and too short to let slip by.

Hey, I've tried slow but sure and quick and stupid and here's what I learned--

ya plays your money and ya takes your chances. There is no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to marriage.

Good luck finding your soulmate. And don't forget to put your initials on all your cd's.

sincerely,
The Angel of Divorce

So true JBR, so true. I've never been married, thus I've never been divorced. I shall heed your advice though good sir. Right now, I'm just enjoying drinking a lot and feeling sorry for myself.

Oh yeah, we're also bracing for whatever is left of Isidore and all of the people fleeing it. Jackson is a fun place to be this week.

Wiz,

JBR is right. I know kind of what you're going through. It happened to me 22 years ago. Ya just gotta get through it and move on. There's a better one on the horizion.

I talked to my girlfriend on the phone tonight and I hear Jacktown is starting to rock'n roll weather wise!

This girl and I will be lifelong friends. I can promise you this though, the better one on the horizon will be an Ole Miss Rebel if I can help it.

As for the weather down here, I was driving around clearing my head a little while ago and drove over the spillway. The water is kicking up something fierce and the flags at the halfway point of the spillway were flying sideways. It's getting ready to rock down here I believe. From what they said on the local news down here, the traffic on 55 is getting ready to suck.

By the way, I just wanted to thank you guys for putting up with my self pity recently. It was just kind of tough on me, and when I really didn't have anyone else to talk to last night, I knew that my Reb family was here. I'll try not to harp on this stuff anymore. Thanks for listening guys and gals. Hotty Toddy!! Beat the Gay-tors!

JBR, you are right when you say, "There are no guarantees" or was it "sure things". You got to be willing to take a lot of shiite. Having some great kids has made a lot of difference to me. I'll put up with a whole lot more - for their sake.

I really like the advice - "Put your initials on all your cd's."

We still on for a Jacktown pre-game get together at Hooter's next Thursday night? Turns out my dad can't make it out here for the Florida game because of business, so it looks like I can look for a date for the game. Lemme know.

I'm there, Wiz. Just let me know when, but I have to work into Thurday evening a bit, but if all goes well I can get out of here in time to meet y'all.
Then on Friday, it's off to Tunica for a wild weekend with a bunch of friends that are coming down from Nashville for the game. Staying in Tunica til Sunday, so anybody who wants to come party with us, come on over.

Hell, my friends and I just might join you there at some point. I'll keep you posted on that. As for Hooter's, whatever time is good for you is fine. I'm game for anything.

I think you would find the town of Tunica rather boring. They do have a KFC and a McDonalds now!

The farmers on the outskirts of Tunica Town were bozos and let the casinos leave a number of years ago. All went north except The Lady Luck which went south down near the Helena Bridge in Coahoma County.

An already millionaire planter in Robinsonville, MS leased the casinos the land area they required that was refused to them by the stupid, and now sorry planters near Tunica Town, and the rest is history.

Have fun! No one could find you in a place that size! It ain't Las Vegas, but it ain't little either!

Well, they could find me if I told them which casino we were staying at!!!

I've been to Tunica, err Robinsonville, three or four times and have never had a dull time. They may have a McDonald's and KFC, but I don't think we will be too interested in that. I'm talking about BUFFET! Plus, beer!

BTW, Bobby Leatherman is the planter that owns all the land down there. You can check him out at 1330 Leatherman Lane! All the main roads down there have actually cut off the little town of Robinsonville, purposely I believe, but the Hollywood Cafe is still open and doing well. It's a restaurant by day and a honky tonk at night.

What was Swindol's Grocery is back open now! It was the last business in Robinsonville to close before the arrival of the casinos.

If "C" is coming to the game with you, NPR, or even if she isn't, PM me and I will let you know where we'll be if you want to come give some of your money away to the casino with us.

We'll be there Friday night around 9ish, doing the game Saturday, and heading back for another evening at the casinos that night, leaving Sunday morning.
