Dio is now alone on the other board. I see that TheVaught02 has decided to join us and is posting as Ole Miss. Let's welcome him to the board!

I suppose Dio ought to be congratulated for having what it takes just to get on that board. Still, the decent thing to do would be to tell him where ever'body went.

Lord knows I need my fellow Reality Squad® members.

P.S. The old board seems to be working properly now. They went down trying to block Gold Turd. I got that from the Editor himself!

The board needs contrarians. Nothing is more untrustworthy and dangerous than a group that thinks the same and says the same. We need Dio,just like we need Coach Peanut, as a force to counteract the all postive, all the time tendencies of the board. When we are wrong, we are easily shot down; but when we are right, we add a healthy does of realism to the board. The difference between Coach and Dio and me is that I look at a new season as a new season with the hope that we have learned from our errors. They think that a zebra never changes his spots, to quote somebody on the board who was quoting Alpha Gore. We'll see who is right. I think they speak wisely but I hope we are wrong.

I agree with the whole difference of opinion thing, Wry, but Dio is apparently one very unhappy person. That being said, his stay would be very brief here, in my opinion, because of his very blatant and graphic opinions of almost every Rebel fan. Come to think of it, sure bring him over, if he can swallow his pride long enough to type in this site address.

Well, there is truth there, 10Man. He does go overboard sometimes and makes some personal comments that I can see would be offensive. Maybe its just the work I'm in -- I am so used to being abused, and giving abuse, that it becomes something like an artform. I learned some time ago that everybody sooner or later says some remarkably stupid things. So when I get attacked, I don't take it too bad, even in the very rare event that it is true. Point is, and maybe I'm wrong here, he's part of the crowd.

This is a weird thread out of you guys.
First, you post celebratory messages about being liberated from the likes of Dio Greenjeans by moving to another forum.
Next, you mention his name somewhere in at least a thread per day.
And finally, you're now asking him to come to the new board because you miss the counterpoint.

What's really weird to me is that I can't figure out if you really like Ronny James Dio Genes. Or maybe more sadistically, you folks just want some sort of constant adversary.

Just my .02 cents.

Btw, I'm outta here tomorrow. Also, I am very grateful about being able to attend the season opener and I'm glad its finally here.

Oh, I'm not saying that any of our bunch, Reality or Fantasy Crews, isn't thick-skinned. We all, for the most part, are or none of us would've stuck around this long. We have been at each others throats for about a year now,(at least me) and some even much longer than that. And I've had nothing but fun with it. But, the rules on this board are much stricter, as we all quickly learned. And we all seem to have conformed to their decency requirements. This is a judgement call, totally, but I don't think Dio would tone it down, nor do I think he would even consider it.
However, I wished that he would because you're right, the more different the views are, the more interesting the talk is.

Well, DarkStar, what we have here is <gasp> a difference of opinion. There might have been some who felt liberated by leaving our sardonic member behind, to yammer to himself on a dark and silent board. Myself I don't recall that he said anything that offensive, but it is entirely possible that my recollection is biased in that I don't remember that he said anthing to me I am probably in the minority here, and maybe the problem is that I never took much of his smack seriously. Anyhow, 10Man is right: If he does come to this board and gets very much out of line, he's gone. So its probably a matter of no consequence because if he does come here, he'll probably get out of line. He thinks that's what philosophers do; therefore, he'll accept his cup of hemlock.

I can take or leave Dio. I like butting heads on some issues. I can't tolerate the NY Opera Dawg. I don't care if he ever shows up again - hope he doesn't.
