You're not alone, GB. I'm gonna miss it too. Gonna be in California that week.

I'm on a cruise the weekend before the game, and won't get back until Tuesday. A flight out on Friday or Saturday morning would be a little too much. 03-weeping

So drive, you wus! ;-)
I'm thinking instead of plane tickets I get a couple of co-workers to pack in a car and we drive down from Greenville on Friday and leave right after the game. Long haul, but it'd be worth it.

Out of Tampa to Cozumel and back. Taking the whole family for $179/person. This is a "see how the kids do" trip.

Now, let's think about that....I will be away from work the Friday, Monday, & Tuesday before that. If I drive, you are talking ~10 hours, so I would then lose my whole Friday as well. My boss may not like that too much.

Also, the family will not be attending with me, so I would have to drive my vehicle, which may or may not make the journey.

Right now, it looks like a lost cause. 03-weeping

Kids should love it with all the activities they plan for them on board. Hopefully you will get great weather and calm seas. I am a land lover myself and if it gets rough I have been known to blow chunks but so far never on a cruise.
My three nephews love the cruise ships. My brother hands them their walkie talkies and lets them roam all over the ship. They also went to Cozumel and the boys loved the snorkeling they did. They will all be here on a Royal Caribbean cruise on Dec 19 so I have planned a full day of snorkeling and beach fun and then it is off to BHam 02-13-banana

What's more important, here, GB ... feeding your family or getting to the bowl game? I trust you'll make the right choice ;-)

Yeah, I guess C-USA and the Bowls made a decision. I know CUSA and the bowls were fighting. CUSA wanted the loser of the Championship game to go to the GMAC bowl, and the GMAC Bowl wanted ECU if Southern Miss was not available. So I said

I heard our opponent is down to USF or Cincinnati. What has to happen this weekend to determine who we play?

I think they're really just waiting to see if the Big East possibly squeezes 2 into the BCS ... if that happens, things will shuffle a little IIRC.

That said, it's pretty likely that we're playing USF. Their fans are already bitching about it.

It's sounding like more and more students are going. I didn't think I would know that many people, but I keep running into folks who are saying they are going. We could have a pretty good crowd

Boneyard poster said about 2,300 was the number from the ticket office, but most are optimistic since the mail ticket apps just got sent out (people should receive today if they haven't gotten them yet) and the PC ordering deadline is Friday.
