I'd like to think we've learned killer instinct but it's more likely just low-effort BS from the Marshall coaches.

If your admin tells you need to donate more to not get embarassed on the road they're lying to you.

I'm beginning to think there's merit in holding on to an average coach. Recruiting has become more relevant in this new FBS landscape. We'll see but GS seems to be benefiting from Helton's time at the helm. Offense we all know the reason but he's getting nice assists with good hands and defense took more time than anyone could stand. I could be wrong but i don't think so.

There is certainly value in being able to retain a majority of your team and having players familiar with your system.

Any GA SO fans mind giving insight into the story behind the school bus in your stadium if there is one?

The team rides yellow school buses through campus from Eagle Creek to the stadium before the games. It’s a tradition that goes back to the start of the program in the 80’s. When we restarted our football program, we had zero money and needed a way to get the players from the practice fields to the stadium on the other side of campus, so Erk Russell bought two old school buses from the local school system for $1 each. Those buses ended up taking national champions to many games. The team still rides them to pay tribute. I believe they put a bus in one end zone with a bar inside of it as a premium fan section.

I second that. Cool tradition, happy to be in a conference with so many historic programs.

Georgia Southern beat Marshall 49-13 to stay atop the Sun Belt East. Max Johnson threw four touchdown passes and ran for another.

In my recap from Statesboro, I break down Marshall’s two early fourth-down decisions and make the case for giving Khalil Wilkins a full series against App State.
