Fired General Admitted to Classified Iran and Ukraine Leaks, Anonymously Attacking Pe
Quote:Fired Army Lieutenant General Brett Sylvia, who served as director of the Directorate for Strategy, Plans, and Policy at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, reportedly admitted to leaking classified information, according to the Pentagon’s internal investigation.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, Sylvia was fired from the Joint Chiefs of Staff this week for “severe misconduct,” including leaking classified information on the Iran and Russia-Ukraine wars, a Department of War official said.

He was also criminally referred to the Department of Justice, as an investigation into his leaks remains ongoing.

Now, Axios is reporting that, according to the Pentagon's records from an internal investigation, Sylvia even admitted to leaking classified information about the wars to at least two reporters from different outlets over one year beginning as early as June 2025.

Sylvia "was cooperative with answering questions about interactions with the media to resolve this, and provided his personal phone for a forensics examination," according to the report.

During one of his meetings at a diner in Arlington, Virginia, Sylvia "relied on notes he took while reviewing a classified secret report to orally give redacted on U.S. assistance to Ukraine," while meeting with a reporter who had his Pentagon access revoked. Sylvia "did not coordinate these meetings with [the Pentagon's Public Affairs Office], or seek to have the information reviewed before providing it to the reporter," according to the report.

Sylvia further "admitted to being one of the 20 officials" attacking the Pentagon's leadership under Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and President Trump.

The Pentagon pointed us to Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell's social media statement on Sylvia’s firing when asked for comment.

The Department of War has zero tolerance for the intentional, unauthorized disclosure of classified information. Anyone who compromises sensitive national security information puts the lives of our Warriors at risk and undermines every military operation that keeps our country safe.

Following an extensive Air Force OSI investigation, the Department took necessary personnel action to protect sensitive information. To protect the integrity of the investigation, no further comment will be made regarding the individual or the circumstances of this action.

This matter, along with others, have been referred to the Justice Department for potential further legal action.

Classified information is not personal property. Leaking it for personal, political or professional gain is a betrayal of the trust placed in those responsible for keeping it.

Our commitment was not an empty promise. We vowed to find you, and we meant it.

There was a time when a violation of that trust — by a U.S. military officer — would have resulted in an efficient court martial, followed quickly by a firing squad. And such a result would have been met with virtually unanimous approval from Congress and across the broader society.

I don’t know if America will ever get back to that approach or not, but unless/until we do, our security will always be at the mercy of any random dissident who feels their values take precedence over everything and everyone else.

Commanded the 101st Airborne Division.

SMH.

Again, neither proud nor ashamed of my military service. It happened.

But, this general embodies why enlisted soldiers hate officers.

That should be life in Leavenworth, at least, and that’s only if he names the other 19 and supports their investigation.

Sadly, we’ve become so divided we fight amongst each other over whether or not a strand of hair is offensive to people. This won’t happen at all, even though it totally should.

America is too far gone to save, GC.

It's time for the inevitable Civil War followed by a National Divorce with no reunification plan in place.

I'm tired of sharing this country with people who hate people like us and want us dead simply because we have different beliefs.

I prefer the St. Patrick Method. Lets run all the snakes out of the country.

But, this general embodies why enlisted soldiers hate officers.

My old man was in the 101st Airborne. He was an MP for 25 years with a tour in Korea that he said almost killed him with cold. He took a piece of shrapnel while rescuing a young black soldier. My old man was as southern as they come. He was a dyed-in-the-wool racist who softened his biases as he got older.

I recently spoke with an old friend of mine, a black dude who is a Kung Fu master. He said that he spent a lot of time talking to my old man, and he encouraged that young man to pursue his dreams. He told me that he was very inspirational. All I could respond with was, "Huh? My old man???"

We never know how we might impact someone with a few words or some miscellaneous act. A younger cousin came for tryouts for a youth league football team I assistant coached. He wasn't big and he wasn't all that fast, but that kid never stopped trying; he always gave 110%. I encouraged him and the other kids by lighting fires under their butts. He PMed me on fakebook, back when I still used it, and he told me that the lessons he learned on that football field as a 3rd stringer have stuck with him ever since. He thanked me for being a positive influence. I had no idea he felt that way.

I think he had it wrong since he turned out to be gay, grew his hair in dreadlocks that almost touched the ground, and did all kinds of embarrassing stuff like dancing and recording himself and posting the videos online. He tried out for Dancing With The Stars, and they laughed him out of the building. He was butt hurt for a long time after. Probably not as butt hurt as his husband made him, though.

Yuckkkkk. But I let that go a long time ago with him; he's family after all and has been with the same guy for a very long while. They show up at every family gathering, and I'll speak to him and his husband. But still, yuckkkety yuck yuckkkk. UGH.

Absolutely. IF there ever is another civil war here, it will be open season on illegals and foreigners. There are still plenty of red-blooded Americans; they are all part of the silent majority. We don't hear about such people on the news unless it's to cast them in a bad light, but they are out there. I'm not silent, but I identify with them.
