Longo was undefeated against my Hens. As far as replacing him, Manny Rojas might be available.

They have named co-interims for the rest of the season. One is the special teams coach and the other is the defensive coordinator.

They come to Jacksonville next week.

Whitten left Tarleton for Sam when we were D2 and Sam was FCS. He was fired after five seasons at Sam for multiple reasons, primarily due to not winning.

It’s really hard replacing great coaches. CUSA teams have had to move on from the Rodriguez, Keeler, Freeze and Stockstill’s types. Sometimes it works, sometimes it takes an interim before the next great one comes along.

He is owed through Aug 2029 makes 725k withy 25k increases annual or 60k per month and owed 34 months which is over 2 million
It can be offset if he takes another job

The first 2 were in the mix 2 years ago and will be again

He had been OC at three P4s so if he gets an OC job at a P4 that should wipe a good chunk of that off the books.

We hired Charles Kelly the same time Longo was hired. Both had been at the school before and were older guys who had never been a head coach before. (Not counting Longo at Lasalle for two years over 20 years ago) so both were crapshoots. Glad it’s worked out for us so far.
