It's called Fraud. The whole purpose was to confuse the electorate so the vote for the incumbent would be split between two people. They have the data to prove THAT was the purpose. This guy got convicted for a tweet telling people they could vote by text message with no proof anyone actually tried to. And he wasn't a member of the opposing campaign.
