So they violated the law, kept voting open long enough to stuff the box, and the cheating tanked their markets. I can see why leftists are celebrating.

“I can assure you that we are going to change the way we govern this country. We are going to give the people a greater role in our decisions,” Lula said after his reelection.
Lula thanked the Brazilian people for their “generosity,” especially the country's youth who “took to the streets to defend democracy.”
In Rio de Janeiro, Lula’s supporters were seen hugging, beeping their car horns and raising the “L” sign. And in Belo Horizonte, capital of the key swing state Minas Gerais, supporters could be seen chanting and singing following Lula’s victory.

You leftists are the ultimate projectionists. You rant and rave about threats to democracy, but you are the ones who try to throw your political apponents in jail and obviously applaud others when they do it such as Brazil is about to do. Leftists are the ones who ban free speech....... and like most leftists, the more left you go, the less democracy you get. You can vote for socialism and communism, but only a revolution would get you out of it. Leftists know how to ban opposing candidates and political parties, ban free speech, and change constitutions with packed supreme court rubber stamps.
Look at the history of hardcore leftist regimes.

They don't care.
They're going to keep doing it.
The only solution for the right is Civil War with the left and National Divorce from them as well.
We can't live alongside each other anymore.

What the left in Brazil is doing to Bolsonaro's son is EXACTLY what the left would have done to Trump, his family, his supporters, and Republicans and Christians alike had Kamala Harris won in 2024.
I'm sure they will do it for real in 2028 when they win back the White House.

Ah yes, Brazil. The country whose currency was so worthless they renamed it "the real" (pronounced re-al) but you get the point. Worthless paper which like all left leaning countries would choose to do, called it "real" to try to set it apart from the paper that you were forced to have this year but couldn't exchange next year when it was completely devalued.
Some outside entity needs to help their industry and take a firm hand in the Rain Forest which keeps getting deforested more every year. There's your climate impact for our hemisphere. But hey, it's a left problem, don't they pose as green?

The left ruins every f***ing thing that they touch.
But hey, at least they're morally right and not factually correct.
Right, President AOC?

Here we go with the censorship. This is exactly what the lefty dopes on this forum want, but pretend they are against. Oh how they love screaming that the Right are a threat to democracy.
https://www.riotimesonline.com/lula-vict...tion-2026/
The real threat to democracy, actually to our whole republic, is what they already support doing. They support doing away with the filibuster. Then packing the supreme court to rubber stamp everything. Then make DC and Puerto Rico new states. Lastly, they can then do anything they want. Change the way the census is counted. Abolish the electoral college. Open the borders up. Blanket amnesty.
There is no getting out from that assault on democracy that the left promises to do.

RE: Voters in Brazil re-elect Lula, send far right down to defeat
Lula supporters celebrate in Brazil
Quote:Brazilian right-wing Senator Flavio Bolsonaro has followed his imprisoned father's lead by refusing to concede defeat to leftist President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who won a historic fourth term in Sunday's presidential election.
....
Yet the scale of the loss, with Bolsonaro trailing Lula by over 4 million votes, makes it unlikely his efforts to annul the vote will succeed, analysts said. His petition is also undermined by the fact that his campaign also sought a voting extension due to heavy rains in the conservative-leaning south.
Jair Bolsonaro plunged Brazil into a deep democratic crisis after the election in 2022, when his supporters stormed government buildings in protest against the result. He later received a 27-year sentence for plotting a coup.
Meanwhile, world leaders have hailed the victory of Lula in Sunday's presidential election runoff.
EU Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen:
"Democracy and multilateralism have won in Brazil. Europe's partnership with Brazil is thriving. We will remain by your side for the years to come. Together we will keep working closely for free and open trade. A rules-based global order. And strong ambitions for our climate."
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi:
"I look forward to working closely with him to further deepen and expand the multifaceted India-Brazil Strategic Partnership. Together, we will continue to strengthen our cooperation across diverse sectors, advance the shared priorities of the Global South and work towards a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable world."
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa:
"This victory will echo beyond the shores of Brazil. It is a victory for the Global South and progressive forces throughout the world."
French President Emmanuel Macron:
"France and Brazil have much to build together. In the face of the great challenges of our time, let us strengthen our strategic partnership and keep the friendship between our two countries alive in the service of a more just world."

Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky:
"We thank Brazil for its unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. We look forward to expanding our cooperation and congratulate President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on his remarkable election results."
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney:
"The relationship between Canada and Brazil has flourished under our partnership. Let’s seize this opportunity to make it even stronger, together — to create major new trade opportunities, protect the environment, and build greater prosperity for both our peoples."
Peruvian President Keiko Fujimori:
"I congratulate President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva ... and salute the Brazilian people for this democratic day."
Ecuadorean President Daniel Noboa:
"Our region has common enemies, shared challenges, and much to gain when we work together."
Chilean President Jose Antonio Kast:
"I just spoke with the President of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Chile and Brazil have a lot of shared future ahead, and we will continue working on an agenda that strengthens relations between our countries in economic integration and the fight against organized crime in the region."
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum:
"Long live democracy. The people of Brazil won."

Paraguayan President Santiago Pena:
"Paraguay and Brazil share a common agenda of integration and development. We will continue working together for the well-being of our people."
Uruguayan President Yamandu Orsi:
"I just spoke with the president-elect of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, a friend. I congratulated him on the victory and on the democratic celebration that an electoral process represents."
Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz:
"Bolivia and Brazil are neighboring and brother countries, united by a shared history and common challenges. We will continue working together to strengthen our relationship and generate more opportunities for our nations."
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel:
"... This historic victory ensures the continuity of the path of peace, sovereignty, and social justice embarked upon by the Brazilian people under your leadership."
Panamanian President Jose Raul Mulino:
"I congratulate the Brazilian people for this democratic day and especially President Lula for the victory! We will continue working together for our countries."
