You people are truly hopeless.

Bill Hopeless is what the ladies call him when a would-be "naughtiness session" is thwarted by a case of ED.

Im killing 5 trees every time you post nonsense like this.

Mother earth 03-no

07-coffee3

Before killing the trees, you could consider painting images of Bill Dazzle wearing various clown's and children's entertainer outfits (an image with me sporting a Captain Kangeroo hairstyle and outfit would be particularly nutty) and then proceed to throw axes at the images.

That's 5 more and a shrub. I'm a madman I tell you.

Shere "The Madman" Khan ... that's pro wrassler name. I like it.

Recycling is straight up BS. We used to separate all the recyclables for trash pickup until we learned the trucks were dumping it all where all the other refuse went.

I have a friend who owns a huge plastics recycling facility. On the scale at which he operates it makes sense and he’s made a ****-ton of money off of it. But he’s told me that he struggles at times with finding enough plastics that have truly been dedicated to recycling because of what I mentioned. It appears our town wasn’t an outlier.

Spot-on take, TB4E. Recycling often creates more energy waste than it conserves. It can work (and sometimes does). But generally, it's likely a failure.

My "big two" are reduce/reuse. That is how we can make a positive impact.

Well there is something for reducing landfill usage and getting plastics out of the ground, even if it isn't energy efficient.

Agree. And that is a key reason I recycle as much as possible, bullet. However, I simply have to wonder if recycling is as helpful overall as I would hope.

Most of what people put out for recycling actually winds up in landfills.

On the flip side, a new car these days is basically made up of entirely recycled materials.
