Disagree. A lot of people on Team Blue know very well that a Kamala Harris nomination would be a political cyanide-pill for Democrats in 2028. At least for now, they are keeping quiet about it. That will change if she actually moves forward with this.

I’m sure that’s part of it. But also, he knows or ought to know that her path to 270 electoral votes is very unlikely, and doesn’t want to expend the time/money and personal effort to wind up in a worse position than they’re in now.

Among Democrats, Harris probably has name-recognition between 98% and 100%.

At least in that ^^^ survey, her support is 30%. I’ve seen others where it’s less. But even that isn’t the real reason why the Harris/’28 thing isn’t happening.

This is not like running for Congress, or even for Senate/Governor. It takes a level of $$$ that most Americans can never hope to achieve. The people who raise that kind of money, and the people who donate that kind of money, have already seen this movie once (2024). Most of them have seen it twice (2019). They are not going to come out of pocket to see it a third time.

Guaranteed that Doug Emhoff has spoken to a lot of those people in the last ~18 months. He can read the room even if Harris cannot.

I want to see her in the Demonicrat primary, with the people vying it'll be a laugh-fest. Can you imagine them putting down the other candidates? The best part is that it'll come from Demonicratic mouths downplaying the "achievements" of the others.

The only people who would vote for these losers are other losers who don't care what their candidates stand for, only that they'll have a D after their name. You know like the Liberal posters that post here, they know who they are.
