Houthis hammering helpless Saudis

The attacks on Saudi pipelines and airports have them tossing their turbans in frustration.

Despite spending almost $100 billion a year on military hardware, the Saudis appear nearly helpless versus the Houthis.

The latest strike had hundreds of casualties, despite the Riyadh airport being mostly evacuated for days.

The Houthis said they would respond when Saudis bombed the Sanaa airport.

RE: Houthis hammering helpless Saudis
I'm sitting here in my travel trailer in Custer SD looking out at a forest full of golden quaking aspens and granite boulders, and wondering why I should ever give a crap about Houtis and Saudis. Seriously.

The main reason the Saudis are having trouble is they are hitting the wrong targets. The Saudis need to aim their return fire missiles at Iranian refineries whenever the Houthies hit Saudi refineries. Thats what the Iranians did when the Americans struck them. My guess is the Iranians see no reason to reign in their Houthie atttack dog----so the Saudis need to give the Iranians a reason to call them off. On the upside----its clear the new Middle Eastern based Saudi/Turkey/Pakistan security agreement is a LONG way from being anywhere near capable of replacing the current US centric Middle East defense arrangements. At least the US is willing to actually intervene militarily with air and sea power. The Saudi/Turkey/Pakistan security framework has thus far quickly proven to be nothing more than a worthless paper document that no aggressor need fear in any way.
