Nolan Richardson was a great coach and a fine man. Nolan lost a daughter to cancer and it had a tremendous impact on his life as it would any of us.
Northwest Arkansas is a very difficult place for black people to live. Not saying it is a heavy racist area, but it is a difficult area for minorities. That is a fact.
When Nolan was winning, he was a King. When he started losing, he could not handle it and he made some serious mistakes. I think the pressure of living in his environment in Northwest Arkansas finally got to him.
Nolan made some statements about Arkansans that were just wrong. He branded the whole state as racist and that is just not correct.
Nolan's court battle was in reality a battle with Frank Broyles. Broyles and Nolan played out a personal feud in public in the courtroom for all to see.
The courts found Broyles not at fault in Nolan's dismissal and Nolan was proven to be fired for actions he took, not being discriminated against.
I like Nolan. I think he would have made a great head coach for UTEP, but his past actions will always haunt him now.
I hope Nolan enjoys his retirement and can find it in his heart to get over what he incorrectly thought was done to him at Arkansas.
There was fault on both sides at Arkansas concerning Nolan, but Nolan just couldn't see his part as wrong.
Arkansas will be a better place when Frank Broyles finally retires.

2. I thought you said you were an American - you're an immigrant - who may have become an American citizen
3. Mexico - Spain - Italy - Egypt - Ethiopia and Canada countries I've visited and I plan on going to Greece next summer - got any suggestions of things to do while I'm there? My wife and I try to visit a different country every year as an anniversary gift to ourselves.

7. You can vent in Spanish, I don't know a lot but some, but I can get my youngest son (7) to translate for me. See we've spent a lot of money for him to learn the language since he's been able to speak. We did so because we wanted him to be able to communicate with spanish speaking people after we notice the big influx of Spanish speaking kids at the school that he was zoned to attend at the time. We now live in Atlanta and he has made many Spanish speaking friends and I enjoy hearing them jocking back and forth between English and Spanish. My oldest son (13) speaks Frensh and Spanish. I just speak American. My point is we expose our kids to other cultures but we also teach them their history and heritage.
