Quote:Paula Devlin, one of the outspoken Lindsay Clancy jurors, said the quiet part out loud this weekend during an interview with CBS.
Eleven jurors were ready to find Lindsay Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity, but one lone male juror held the line and refused to buckle under pressure.
The judge last Friday declared a mistrial after a dramatic showdown in court with Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington.
Last week, a few jurors came forward and spoke with the media about their decision to support Lindsay Clancy.
This weekend, juror Paula Devlin continued her media tour and admitted the mostly female jury wanted to leave their mark.
“We knew that this was a turning point, and this would be something that could change something to make it better for other women…” Paula Devlin said.
It was all political.
The Clancy jury was not sequestered, and this is just further proof that they were likely thumbing their noses at the orders to ignore outside influences and watching TikTok videos of other women supporting child killer Lindsay Clancy.
Quote:Now, according to an interview with Paula Devlin published by the Daily Mail, the unidentified male juror repeatedly objected when members of the mostly female panel spoke over one another.
“He would get upset and say, ‘Listen to what she’s saying, listen to what he’s saying, be respectful,’” Devlin told the newspaper.
Devlin said the juror would lecture the panel about showing respect during deliberations. She also claimed he spent breaks speaking with his wife or watching videos on his phone.
Fellow juror Nick Dargie, a 25-year-old veteran and one of the other men on the panel, later told ABC the holdout scrolled his phone while people talked at him and at one point tied an exhibit exercise band around a water bottle and pulled, a moment Dargie called “disgusting.”
Devlin claimed the holdout juror also questioned the amount of blood found at the crime scene, despite testimony from experts explaining the blood evidence. She further accused him of failing to properly apply the legal standard of reasonable doubt.
Following the mistrial, Clancy’s attorney asked Judge Sullivan to enter a not-guilty-by-reason-of-lack-of-criminal-responsibility finding and prevent a second trial. Prosecutors have not yet announced whether they will seek a retrial. The case is scheduled to return to court on September 29.

Why is it that only Republicans believe when you strangle to death your three little innocent children, including a baby, that you committed murder and should be punished?
What did these babies ever do to deserve such a cruel death at the hands of their mother?
Michael Marcel at Fugitive TV on TouTube interviewed the lone juror who stood up to the leftist mob who were ready to let Lindsey Clancy walk.
Michael Marcel: He was very kind, Catholic, and you want to hear something very funny? We started talking.
He thinks he knows why he might be getting targeted. He’s a Republican. He is a black Republican. He has conservative views.
He believes he might be getting targeted because of that. Because the media and the reporters, as you could see, they kind of have left views. He was in a juror panel with people of the Democratic Party.
Quote:The brother of the lone holdout juror in the trial of Lindsay Clancy, which ended in a mistrial, has spoken out, saying that the juror’s family has had to go into hiding due to people hounding them.
Speaking with the New York Post, the brother said the family of Catholic Haitian immigrants has had to deal with true crime fanatics and reporters since a mistrial was declared in early September, with the lone male juror holding out against 11 other members of the panel who wanted to find Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity for the killings of her three children.
The brother said, “My family cannot leave the house.” He added of those pestering the family in the wake of the trial, “They are leaving notes at my mother’s house. They won’t leave us alone and we don’t know anything. People have been calling me like crazy. It’s crazy.”
He said that the family had no idea the holdout juror was serving on the Clancy trial. “We didn’t know. That’s why I was shocked. He didn’t tell us anything.”
The owner of a local garage where the juror regularly fills up with gas and takes his car for repairs told the outlet that the family has gone into hiding. He said of the juror, “His wife — they just got married — came by yesterday and asked me to put new wheels on her car. She said the media has been crazy and they’re gonna lay low for a while.”
He described the juror as a “really nice guy” who “goes to church.” He said, “He paid for a lady the other day who couldn’t pay her gas. She said, ‘I can’t pay.’ And he went right over and paid her bill.”
The brother said he did not believe the juror’s faith played into his judgment in the case. “I don’t think religion had anything to do with it.”
“He looked at the case, and he made the call,” the brother said. “For me, that’s how I would do it. I would just listen to the case with all the evidence, and go from there.” He added, “His choice was good for some people, but not good for other people.”
Local news outlet NBC Boston has been criticized for digging into the juror's past to smear him, with the outlet saying that it had uncovered court documents and interviews with family members that “reveal a history of domestic violence allegations." Although there were allegations and a criminal charge against him for allegedly assaulting his wife, that charge was later dismissed after they divorced.
In a 2021 case, police records said the juror's nephew called 911 after his uncle grabbed his wife by the neck and threw her into a dresser. She allegedly screamed "You're evil" in response. The same nephew had also taken out a restraining order against the juror, which expired during the Clancy trial.
A GiveSendGo fundraiser has been set up to cover “security, lawyers, and lost work” for the juror, and has brought in over $190,000 as of Tuesday afternoon.
