RE: Bartholomae to MooU
I'm cautiously optimistic Kavalhuna will make a good replacement hire. Don't know too much about him yet but he seems to have a John Dunn-like passion for Bronco sports and understands the importance of fund raising.

Side note: DB had a buyout clause of over $5M, pretty substantial for a non-Power school, so hopefully that full amount is incoming.

Hopefully the $5+M buyout will hold up. This will allow President Russ to offer a $1 million per year contract for five years (at no cost) for the new person coming in. I believe AD Dan was getting about $850K per year, which was at or near tops in the MAC.

Why would the buyout clause not 'hold up'? After all the grief MSU athletics have been through the last few seasons, do they really want to add a black eye from a cheesy Court battle-trying to stiff a MAC school in their own state? DB is a good hire for MSU, he'll pay off their investment in him rather quickly, IMO. Why spoil it by starting off on the wrong foot?
