The Nova Knicks
I don’t know if there’s ever been anything like this Villanova trio, winning an NBA championship together after winning a national championship together in college. I was listening to the postgame stuff and Bridges referred to Hart and Brunson as his brothers. I later found out that Hart and Brunson were college roommates and have been best friends ever since. Team chemistry is one thing, but these 3 have a special bond unlike anything I think I’ve seen in pro sports. I think it has something to do with why they won it all the other night.

It was definitely fun to watch. You can tell in the interviews, exchanges that these guys have built a special connection over the years
Amazing run which will always be remembered by New Yorkers

RE: The Nova Knicks
They very likely would not have won without KAT, but they also had DiVincenzo as well. The Nova dynasty that Wright created and fostered his last decade was incredibly special. It would have been a real treat for the league and for fans to see a prime Wright with Villanova, a prime Hurley with UConn, as well as this level that Pitino has created with St. John's, all concurrently. Three of the absolute best ever to do it, all in one conference. It's a shame they all just missed each other ever so briefly.
Congratulations to Ejiofor, Reed and Karaban for getting drafted last night as well. Mitchell and Hopkins remain on the board, and hope both of them find good places to develop and eventually earn an opportunity. And congratulations as well to Marquette's Tyler Kolek for also being on the team and earning a ring (even if NYPD didn't recognize him at the parade haha).
