I think we have lots of talent and a poor scheme. Some of it is poor tackling and missed assignments. Our running game is NON-EXISTENT. Pittman - Maybe you will help us......next year.

There are only a few minutes left in the first half and they have only ran the ball four times, the rest were all passes. 4 times!!!!!!!! We match that in the first 4 plays of each game!!! If we only ran the ball eight plays a game, we might just be 7-0 right now! Food for thought.

Now THAT is a program on the rise!!!!!!!
10MAN, without good players, you could have the best coach in the land and still not get anything out of them.... :bang:
we do have good players (even though some are injuried)...that's what makes me so pissy about all of this
Is that why they dropped passes they should have caught??? Hey, FSU has got the same problem, i.e., good to better players and there were 6 dropped passes that this woman could have caught. Where is Ole Miss's running game? I ain't see one... How many players has Cutt recruited that are playing on this team? Not very many from what I've read... maybe I'm wrong, but I sure get tired of FSU and Ole Miss fans whinning about the coaching when it's the players who are out there NOT making the plays!!!
oh my gawd

what about eli? supposedly a great qb and yet has sucked all year
what about mcclendon? supposedly our next running star and he hasn't impressed anyone......there are others...
(both of which are cutts recruits btw)

While we may not have the talent of many other schools...you act as if the cabinets are bare which is not the case. We have the players to do better than what we are....obviously not the talent to win the national championship...but talent nonetheless. And, btw, you can't go from getting talent that isn't even making it to a bowl game to that type of talent in one or two years any fokin way.

Back to my point, we should have the talent to not get embarassed by Arkansas....beat maybe, embarassed no. Plenty of our problem comes from absolutely no motivation. They need someone to fire their butts up....and let's face it Cutt ain't doin it.

We, obviously, don't have the best talent in the SEC. But, we're not going to get it by playing like we don't give a flip. Recruits won't teammates who are positive. Competitive people like to get all fired up. And, it just aint happening in Oxford.

While, the problem may be expand to the players, it starts with the coaching....and that's all there is to it.
"you act as if the cabinets are bare which is not the case. " ... say what??? Where did you come up with that, my little chickadee?

What I don't get is this... Eli has better stats than his brother Peyton, whom Cutt also coached. But if you don't have receivers who are consistent, week after week, it doesn't matter what kind of QB you have. And your tailback... if the offensive line doesn't block properly, and open the holes, it's another losing cause.

By the way Rebel Rx, I'm a staunch Florida State Fan who also loves other college football. I made friends with JBR, NPR, Wizard, Wry and Still on another board during college baseball season. I'm also known Coach Pea for years, unfortunately and listened to him bash Ole Miss football. I've seen the Rebels play. Yes, there is lots of room for improvement.

Yeah, it hurts when you lose bad to another team. FSU got it's head handed to them by Notre Dame. Bobby Bowden has been our GREAT coach for 26 years, and according to other so-called FSU fans, it's off with his head because we are no longer in the top 5 or even the top 10 any more. Bad coaching, nah. Young players trying to learn the system is more like it. The Noles dropped 6 passes this past weekend, and do you know who the fans want to blame? The quarterback. I could have caught those passes they were right where they were suppose to be thrown. I do see where they finally are benching one of the wr's.

But if ya'll do get rid of Cutt, who knows what will happen when the next guy comes in... instead of being 7-4 at the end of the year (yes, I know you are playing 12 games this year, so let's say 8-4), you could be 4-8... :frown:

Oh no, I'm soooooooooooo very sorry 10MAN. Can I plead insanity? I did drive from Tallahassee to Port Charlotte yesterday afternoon and some stupid drivers thought that the left lane belonged to them and were only going 60 miles an hour on a 70 mph road. I was going 75, but there were others going faster... I was pretty fustrated by the time I got home. Don't drive on that interstate after October, cause the snowbirds are down here... well, you know cause your momma lives in the Tampa/St. Pete area. :bang:

If ya forgive me, I will ... hmmmm ... kiss your feet; babysit your precious little boy, attend a tailgate for Ole Miss, or even a baseball game :D

A thousand pardons, please... :frown:

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm ready for our football season to end. (I had visions of at least a Western Division Championship a month ago.) Now I can't wait until baseball.

MsNole, are you really going to make a Rebels baseball game? I want to meet you in person.

P.S. Keep watching out for the snowbirds - they do make it hazardous - as you well know.

I'll forgive you this time, MsNole. I do know those roads down there all too well and I know what you mean. I usually try to fly there to see Mom, but the couple times I had to drive, the first thing I do is hit Mom's liquor cabinet when I get there, because of being on edge all day!!! Well, it's a good excuse anyway!!!LOL.

You don't have to pay me back, but you would very much enjoy coming to Oxford for any type of game.

04-cheers

Yes, Still, I would love to come to Oxford and see a baseball game and meet my Rebel friends. We would have a GREAT time for sure!!! I'll be going back to Alabama in late April for sure, so we'll have to check your schedule and see what game would be best for all 04-cheers

PS Am I the only one left who still believes (Fantasy Island)???

I want to real bad, MsNole. If we have a chance of pulling things out, it will have to be due to our players determination - not our coaching. Cut should realize by now that his scheme just will not work on a good team. You may ease by some lightweights or mediocre teams but quality opponents will ream us a new one. I just have to conclude that Florida had a terrible day against us. When you look back, we are real lucky we beat Vandy and Memphis. Something is missing in our team (desides good game planning) and we need that other ingredient real quick.

No, MsNole, I think Ole Rebel is over there with ya! The rest of us HAVE jumped ship, I'm afraid. Like rats out of an aqueduct!

If we win two more and go to some crappy bowl, I'll be very surprised. I'm still a Rebel, win lose or draw, but this is getting ridiculous! :bang:

I'm cautiously optimistic, mainly because we don't know how the final four games will play out. It's the SEC and it is true that you never know, but I'm not getting my hopes up at all either. I'm waiting for my basketball tickets to get here. 03-confused
